- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -5/+20Google/Ron Paul 2008!
- ikamos, on 12/03/2007, -0/+12Google is going to take over the world...not sure if I mind though
- nomadishere, on 12/03/2007, -2/+13Google is usually fairly careful to say only enough to stir up some buzz but never the whole scoop ;)
- ggarron, on 12/03/2007, -0/+10Nice to see new development at Google, they are always bringing us great applications, I do not know if they plan to control the Internet someday or if that is going to be a casualty. :).
- stalefries, on 12/03/2007, -0/+10Google Gears support looks interesting, but I'm really looking forward to video chat with Google Talk. Someday I'll be able to dump Skype!
- lazyeyesam, on 12/03/2007, -0/+10FYI: DIggs algorithm is a bit more complicated than:
if (diggs > 50)
promote(story); - superdog87, on 12/03/2007, -0/+9Google for President. Beings they will know exactly what we will want.
- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -3/+10Google is like the internets Wal-Mart; they really make me wonder..
- actorboy, on 12/03/2007, -1/+52008? That's a lot of plans.
- zanvann, on 12/03/2007, -0/+4Because it's Google, not google. Capitalise names.
- allenb, on 12/03/2007, -0/+4Apple's public, too - and a tighter-lipped company you will not find.
As long as it works for the shareholders, that's all that matters. - counterplex, on 12/03/2007, -0/+3I think he's talking about R. Daneel Olivaw
- NoobieDoobieDo, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2Tell me about your plans to upgrade that boring ass spam ridden search engine.
- pailsOfGrease, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2Is it just me or does the concept of 'free toys' from a CIA-funded ubiquitous information-aggregating company make you feel... I dunno... like a Spur-winged Plover picking meat out of a crocodile's mouth?
- Anonymous3, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2If you're talking about the spell checking in firefox, then add it to persdict.dat
- stygiansonic, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2You mean Skynet?
- Woly000, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1Google is in the perfect spot to become the thought police of 1984. They have all the information, people let google look at their information via 'automation', and everyone loves them.
All hail google! - talk2santosh, on 01/26/2008, -0/+1It should be much better !!!
- dilibau, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1buried for having MrBabyface as the submitter. this guy is the top digg user and he always spams digg with his blog when he has the chance
- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -1/+2uh good plan google
- ThetaDot, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1You must be from Ohio.
- BenBenMan, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1GooPaul 2008?
- joshuakuhn, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1That's what these are for:
http://nextelonline.nextel.com/assets/images/phone ...
http://www.wireless.att.com/global/MEDIA_CustomPro ... - benplaut, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1So now we can have our Asus Eee with offline google docs? OUTSTANDING!
- nubtard, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1How about improve your so called revolutionary messenger, gtalk, you asstunnels.
It sucks. - Malakin, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1The most important features that are currently absent from Google docs are page numbering and headers. Students can't write assignments using Google docs until these features are added.
- neodorian, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1Google isn't taking over anything. They are just shaping up to be a very influential tech company. They come and go all the time.
- JQP123, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1"Google is in the perfect spot to become the thought police of 1984."
Right now, they're not really interested in *policing* your thoughts, but they would like to know your thoughts ... in order to 'serve' you better ... with targeted advertising. And what better way to know your thoughts than by scanning your email and documents.
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that geeks who are generally paranoid about the slightest invasion of privacy (browser cookies for example) would be so eager to place their most private info and documents in the hands of a marketing company. And if the truth could be known, I'll bet the suits at Google never dreamed it would be this easy either. - JQP123, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1"... or if that is going to be a casualty."
The only casualty is your privacy if you use Google apps. - JQP123, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1Wow ... you must be young. I can't even remember back to the time when I was that naive.
- chris4404, on 12/03/2007, -1/+2Digg foul, get off of the internet.
- JQP123, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1Actually, it just makes me want to hand in my geek union card. A great many geeks are highly trained ... but poorly educated ... and thus easy to manipulate. Many wouldn't recognize evil if it bit them on the ass.
- zeptobyte, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1Beaten to the punch! Well played sir.

- JQP123, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1Crazy paranoid idea: What if the 'free toys' are a way of identifying *non-potential* terrorists? As in, anyone who falls for the 'free toys' ploy is obviously too naive and simple minded to ever be an effective terrorist and can be immediately ruled out ... leaving all the rest of us as potential suspects? I'm signing up for a Google Docs account now :-)
- DHels13, on 12/05/2007, -0/+0looks like google is going after microsofts market share in the future
- phenomina3, on 12/04/2007, -0/+0Some of this stuff is pretty interesting. I think that Google might be a little loose tonged to get people to invest....
- mitcheloc, on 12/03/2007, -1/+0The article mentions Grand Central being integrated with Google Apps, but wouldn't it make more sense for Grand Central to be integrated with Android?
- KaJuN4, on 12/03/2007, -1/+0Ann Arbor is a whore!
But hooray Google! -
