Google Chrome Beta - Linux Version Not Available Immediately

internetling.com — If Google likes open source so much, it could at least let the most important open source operating system (which the open source crowd pretty much likes, right?) have a beta version to test on their preferred platform… It’s almost like if Apple released a new beta of iTunes for Windows first, just to reach more users.

  • blueplanet, on 09/04/2008, -0/+1A valid point. But I honestly don't really see a problem with it. Linux and OS X are just still in development, and Google probably just wanted to get the browser out right away. It's not like they said they weren't going to.

  • fsuarez2005, on 09/12/2008, -0/+1Um, it's open source. Hasn't anyone just tried to compile it for Linux? (Ok, I know it may not be tailored for Linux yet and that it is still a work in progress, but they should have a link to what source they compiled from.)
