- rswarsaw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1notice that this isn't different from www.google.com/apis -- maybe it's just working b/c of the calendar.google forwarding?
- ralphmalph, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1True that this is a no-digg. But to whomever wrote "who wants a calendar service from google anyways?" are you kidding? what are you talking about??!! i want a calendar service from google. to integrate appointments, time-sensitive tasks and alarm notifications into an already awesome webmail/contacts client? throw in the ability to sms or mail my phone when something triggers? duh! no more need for my PDA. damn right i'm ready for such a service - and the fact that it's taking them time to release it suggests to me that it'll be sweet on the first release. you sir, are an imbecile.
- ccrook, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://cocksmell.google.com/apis doesn't work so it's not just subdomains, kids.
- mooninite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Reported as bad link.
This links directly to www.google.com (as stated above).
Why are people digging this? - techgeekthomas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"notice that this isn't different from www.google.com/apis -- maybe it's just working b/c of the calendar.google forwarding?" I agree. Stupid! Who wants a calander service from Google anyways?
- davidu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is not an API for the calendars...
Un-Digg! People digg without reading... - phenome, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Just so you know... I clicked the link and indeed THERE WAS an *CALENDAR* API page...
Full page, really.. I was reading it but was not at work... when I got here... first thing I did was try to put my ideas about the API to work. However... no page whatsoever..
Guess the people at google didn“t mean for it to be made public already...
Bummer...
But it SURE WAS working when i digged it. - Shen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is the same as http://www.google.com/apis. Nothing new. Google doesn't even offer a calendar yet!
- crapiolio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0NO DIGG, Can't believe it made it to front page.
- techgeekthomas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well he might be right! Earlier I said ""notice that this isn't different from www.google.com/apis -- maybe it's just working b/c of the calendar.google forwarding?" I agree. Stupid! Who wants a calander service from Google anyways?" but look at this CNet article! http://news.com.com/2061-10812_3-5982942.html?part=rss&tag=5982942&subj=news
- StephanCom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0how funny... my first instinct was to try http://*****.google.com/apis/ ... which also doesn't work. Neither does 'money,' 'france,' or 'spatula,' so it's not a dictionary of subdomains. 'base' and 'maps' work, but in an interesting turn, 'earth' delivers a totally different error.
conclusion: it's not random, they really are working on a calendar, and why not? I, for one, welcome our... oh, wait, this is digg, not Slashdot. - pacificdave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0https://gcalendar.com:19638/webhost/rollout/site
this admin screen came back up recently. i noticed it up about a week or 2 ago for a day until someone blogged it. a butt ton of people went to gcalendar.com and they took it down that first day. maybe the rumors are right... hmmm...
any guesses? - rebusrms, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0thanks for getting my hopes up for a Google calander product.... shame the link is bad
- privateinbox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0READ BEFORE YOU DIGG!
- squeakypants, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0only ones they set to forwards do it, so they are doing something w/ calender (or just trying to freak us out). see http://xxxx.google.com/apis doesn't forward
- ralphmalph, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0well you compelled me to look up http://cocksmell.google.com so you got me there, but it proves nothing ;)) it's a generic link.
- Singee15, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0right the content is the same right now but the link on the page for Download is located at: http://calendar.google.com/apis/download.html which shows that they are plannin an API or it wouldn't exist.
- ahsteele, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0"http://cocksmell.google.com/apis doesn't work so it's not just subdomains, kids."
