I don't know what you guys do for fun, but playing with a calculator isn't on my list. - Audacitor, on 11/18/2007, -1/+25You know, all these years I was searching for a calculator on the Internet that would do those sorts of things for me. And now I find out it's been under my bloody nose this whole ***** time!
- Klarth, on 11/18/2007, -1/+25I find it funny that people are bitching about it being from 2003 rather than having seen it before.

I'm sorry not all of us are up on obscure web pages - flashcat7777, on 11/18/2007, -0/+7One watt is 1 (kg * m^2)/sec.^3, and one mph is 0.44704 m / sec. Using dimensional analysis, if you multiply the units of the two, your resultant units are
[ (kg*m^2) / (sec * sec * sec) ] * [ m / s ], you get [ kg * m^3 / sec^4 ] - Lane, on 11/18/2007, -0/+7One very happy couple?

Yes, I take notes of the ages of all websites I visit, and get seriously pissed off if it's beyond a certain threshold. It's part of an obsessive compulsive disorder of mine, and I think you're really insensitive for saying this, you insensitive clod.
http://www.ocfoundation.org/ - changyang1230, on 11/18/2007, -1/+6All these things can be done with a real life slide rule too, so what's the point of using a calculator?

As if, because they have read it everyone else did too. We are not all on Digg 24 hours a day and read every post the first time it shows up.
- TimeIsTissue, on 11/18/2007, -2/+6Aww, man! I was really looking forward to an answer for the one about Jesus and the burrito.
I guess it's 42....? - wibambau, on 11/18/2007, -0/+4Wow, finally!
To help illustrate just how fast a league per fortnight is, consider 35mph:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=35+mph+in+lea ...
Or for the metrically inclined, consider 40 km/h:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=40+kph+in+lea ...
Personally, I like to express km/h in leagues per quarter day, as the numbers nearly match up:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=40+kph+in+lea ... - razrielle, on 11/18/2007, -0/+3I suggested to google adding jackassery meters, i think they're still working on it
- changyang1230, on 11/18/2007, -0/+3Are you sure you had the correct calculation? The calculation was "light second per DAY" in terms of "miles per second". That means, if you were to travel the distance light travels in one second, it will take a speed of 2.1 miles per second in order for you to cover the same distance over a day.
I guess you actually meant this: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=speed+of+ligh ... -
