- kevinrose, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5The problem I see with flock is that anytime they develop something cool - someone will quickly duplicate it as a firefox extension. In the end, users will feel most comfortable running just firefox, and then picking and choosing which addons they install. I understand that flock and firefox are one in the same - but I really don't see the masses making the switch to yet another (in their eyes) new browser.
I wish the flock crew nothing but the best - they have some really cool ideas. FireFlock extensions coming soon? - NoOneButMe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I think that Flock's developer is drunk.. or depressed .. either way, needing some help
- factoryjoe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Heh. Nothing like a little controversy to kick off the New Year.
Flock is alive and well, and will continue to be. So, sorry naysayers, you'll have to wait a bit longer before the bell tolls for Flock.
And yeah, not sure this was entirely diggable, but it's nice that our first foray on to the digg.com homepage has to do with us being crazy. That is, somehow, fitting. Heh. - cjfjcjfjc, on 12/28/2008, -0/+1Disturbing, Lame, Buried.
- cjfjcjfjc, on 12/28/2008, -0/+1and, is this real? If it is I'm going to flame everyone in the room starting with you firefox fanboys... lol jk
- cjfjcjfjc, on 12/28/2008, -0/+1hey wait, is this the same flock we're talking about?
- nonokiaboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Flock rocks. but it pisses me off man.
- ph3rny, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hey I was just about to implement browser detection for flock
so now i can say "SCREW IT!!!"
lol - themulf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Okay, Terrific...........
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The comments are a hoot. All sorts of morons trying their best to sound intellectual and philosophical about a freakin' web browser that's really nothing special at all. Rise like a phoenix? How about no, Scott.
- Dingoaus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Maybe at least a hint at what is being talked about would be nice?
- Abyss_908, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Don't like Flock. I have all the extensions that do the same in Firefox.
- addisonj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0uhh... if you read the rest of his blog, its just a drunk new years blog, pay it no heed
-digg - skyhighrockets, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Umm, linking to a blog, that links to a blog is not cool.
Yes, i understand its humor, but the way you titled it guesses otherwise. - Spazkake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0what a web of blog links, why does no one just find the origional source, lazy bloggers!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yes. I want to cram the tastiness of Firefox together with the ***** of LiveJournal, Flickr, Delicious, MySpace, Friendster, Orkut, etc.
- oriolesfan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I thought the same thing berean. Are these people nuts? Read the comments if you want a good laugh though. :)

- mozillamonks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Flock the browser, http://flock.com
The Flock that Chris Messina haunts ;)
Robin - Hitchhiker90, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Did anyone really use it? I downloaded a beta, didn't see anything special about it. They were right in that at was a bad idea that didn't work. Better luck next time.
- nonokiaboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah i used it. got all the delicouswhatver hooked up. its a lil crappy though .. but i like the skin kinda. FFox is good though
- ksponge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Er, what who? Lame.
- tobypeters, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have been using flock as my primary browser. Here is a link for my tribulations with it in linux linuxhttp://tobypeters.blogspot.com/2005/12/flock-ubuntu-my-blog.html
I hope nothing happens to it because I enjoy using it... - JJR2527, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Please do not post garbage links, thanks.
-JJR - ezkiel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0uhhh what?
- FireRabbit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0 wtf
- jorgevargas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0well Kevin that is how flock got started in the 1st place. So why will anyone get mad if they do it the other way? by the way flock is firefox (in the core)
- LordMatt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0After following all the links I could and then googling the subject I concluded that flock is: a - a browser; b - an rss agrigator; or c - a php command.
WTF are you talking about basically. - dtatom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What ever this guy is smoking I want some. Again, which one is it that gives you the muchies?
Based on the quality of Flock I completely agree that he can do better. Hell, a monkey could do better; but I am not sure that has anything to do with the philosophical issue "that we must first destroy to create." Sounds like he got a hold of some bad weed. - jla1987, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow, that's messed up.
- SillyRabbit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow...talk about emo.
- nonokiaboy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Yo Kevin, or anyone, is Digg coming out with like instant message / chat . Or something,??

What is Digg?
