- grumpyrain, on 07/12/2008, -0/+3Vista's Backup & Restore Centre is pretty good for imaging. I use SyncBack on my XP laptop.
- LuigiBrasile7, on 07/11/2008, -0/+2You're going to lose all your files. Trust me, it's inevitable. So start backing up right now. You can't be too paranoid about that...
- stefpet, on 07/16/2008, -0/+2I use Mozy, the free version. Love it. What is cool is that in addition to the free 2 GB you get 256 MB free everytime someone you referred signs up and use it (they must perform an actual backup for it to count).
There isn't a cap, but what happens if everyone on digg signs up? ;-) Use this link to try it out:

So far I've managed to rack up a total of 26 GB. - PrestonM, on 07/11/2008, -0/+2Cobian backup is an amazing free app.
- shankarganesh, on 07/13/2008, -0/+1Sugarsync is another neat application...... you can sync data to your mobile too. they give you a 45 day free trial with 10 GB space. you can pay for more. link: http://tinyurl.com/sugarsync
- benjern, on 07/11/2008, -0/+1highly recommend Mozy... I've tried carbonite... for some reason, it simply didn't work for me... the interface was just TOO simple... they probably crossed the line between being too simple and completely taking all options away... 2 thumbs up for Mozy - they've got a balance of options and simplicity...

- annjay, on 07/12/2008, -0/+1We have to take care or backing up our computers everyday because it may cause us alot if there will be any issue. Your this post is really great as a list of backup tools.
- irRobot, on 07/11/2008, -0/+0 I use Nero Backitup, works fine for me, can back up individual files and folders or complete hard drive. I also keep important files and folders on and external and a thumb drive
- Rajaie, on 07/11/2008, -1/+1Never backup, but I know I'll regret it one day....
- JustKate, on 07/14/2008, -0/+0I'm actually a big fan of Carbonite, I've never had a problem using it, and once the initial download is done, you hardly know it exists. It's very easy to retrieve your files from the server as well, which I've had to do already.
