Sounds like that writer knows exactly what "privacy features" are for. Should be renamed porn mode. - Killerah, on 06/30/2009, -8/+124Firefox 3.5 kicks major butt. Congrats Mozilla on another great release!
- LemurDaddy, on 07/01/2009, -0/+72I don't see why you're hot and bothered over this feature. Aren't you tired of limp, flaccid security? Wouldn't you rather have a hard barrier between you and those slimy websites? When they try to thrust into your PC, Firefox erects a tower of power between you and those penetrating cookies. When you're ready to go public, just slip privacy mode off like a latex windbreaker, and feel that closeness you can only have with a website you trust and treasure.
- trogdoor, on 07/01/2009, -1/+46One of the best demos of Firefox 3.5:
http://people.mozilla.com/%7Eprouget/demos/Dynamic ...
* first, the content of the video is injected in the main canvas. That's why the canvas element looks like a video element;
* second, the position of the 2 brighter areas of the canvas are computed (you have access to all pixels values);
* third, the required transformation is computed (rotation, scale, translation);
* fourth, the content of the selected pattern is injected in the main canvas following the transformation.
All in real time with javascript!

- depro9, on 07/01/2009, -1/+24Adios FLASH video! A very big thank you from the open world!
FREEDOM HAS WON. :D - wilhoitm, on 07/01/2009, -6/+28This is going to kill Microsoft! I can see Ballmer Hyperventilating and saying "HTML 5... HTML 5? We believe that Silverlight is much better positioned than HTML 5."
- Doc123, on 07/01/2009, -3/+22Firefox won!!
- specialK16, on 07/01/2009, -2/+21Balmer doesn't need this to hyperventilate... have you seen the guy?
- ju66l3r, on 07/01/2009, -2/+20Comments formatting on digg are broken if I don't login in Firefox 3.5. Anyone else?
- Yage2006, on 07/01/2009, -3/+21No extensions for chrome.
Firefix wins. - TSK05, on 07/01/2009, -0/+18what's buggy?
- jasmus, on 07/01/2009, -4/+22lol, prepare to be dugg down. This is like standing up in the middle of an orgy shouting "This is ok, but none of you are very attractive".
- Akairenn, on 07/01/2009, -1/+15telnet to port 80 > lynx
- purseonality, on 07/01/2009, -2/+16My favorite add-ons aren't compatible yet. Dammit. It's like Sophie's Choice.
- inactive, on 06/30/2009, -2/+15 I'm impressed...The open source video support is especially nice...
- khaosx2030, on 07/01/2009, -3/+15Google needs to step up their customization game to really become a player in the web browser "market".
- beatitlikeacop, on 07/01/2009, -3/+14***** > you
- Scr4tchFury, on 07/01/2009, -0/+11Porn loads faster, and no one is the wiser. Thanks, Mozilla!
- Canadian0207, on 07/01/2009, -11/+20i'm not that impressed with 3.5. Yes it is faster, but it's still buggy. Anyone else notice this?
- jeexbit, on 07/01/2009, -0/+8what do you think the "P" stands for?
- omarlassan, on 07/01/2009, -0/+8Firefox 3.5S - Speed
- jasmus, on 07/01/2009, -0/+8yep, 2 I've seen so far. Prepare for more though.
- IanG73, on 07/01/2009, -4/+11Isn't there already a digg submission somewhat like this that already has 3500 diggs?
- centran, on 07/01/2009, -1/+8links2 > lynx
- Cl1mh4224rd, on 07/01/2009, -0/+7The only thing I'd like to see with respect to Firefox's privacy mode is the ability to have one window running in normal browsing mode and another window running in privacy mode...
- macmcraeart, on 07/01/2009, -0/+7hahahaha
- zoffdino, on 07/01/2009, -3/+10Firefox 3.5 is awesome with all the HTML 5 and video stuffs, even though I don't expect to see a lot of websites adopting these formats any time soon. I still have to design for IE 6 in my job!
Now if only Firefox on the Mac could be more... Mac-like? - xxmjumpman23xx, on 07/01/2009, -1/+7Yup, same thing for me.
- heyimfromreddit, on 07/01/2009, -1/+7Uh... not yet.
- Cl1mh4224rd, on 07/01/2009, -0/+6Oh, hell. I see that this is actually mentioned in TFA. Oh well... great minds, yadda yadda...
- thewibbler, on 07/01/2009, -0/+6Install the Nightly Tester Tools addon, and you can disable the checking for compatibility.
- MrShmee, on 07/01/2009, -0/+6also a plus, FF 3.5 doesn't support that Microsoft .net plugin that auto installed a few months ago.
- TSK05, on 07/01/2009, -1/+6"I've found youtube videos sometimes don't load properly" - I am guessing that's more of a youtube problem. I've had that in IE8 and IE7 as well.
- EddiePotato, on 07/01/2009, -0/+5It would seem most people prefer it the other way. Probably since many of the newer comments play off older ones, and it's nice to get the jokes in the right order!
- loathing, on 07/01/2009, -0/+5Yeah same here. Fine after page refresh.
- Mouser58907, on 07/01/2009, -0/+5Mine were, then i went to a new page and hit back and it was fixed.
- barionic, on 07/01/2009, -0/+5I liked this feature of Firefox better when it was called Google Chrome's incognito mode.
- TheInformer, on 07/01/2009, -0/+5Oregon Trail > lynx

AwesomeBar filters, ***** YEAH!

HTML 5, ***** YEAH! - UnitedOceanic, on 07/01/2009, -0/+4can we start a opera vs firefox bash?
- Suilenroc, on 07/01/2009, -5/+9It is rare that I find something more incredibly mediocre at what it does than Opera. IE is bad, Chrome and Firefox are good, and Opera is just so...meh.

Sorry... couldn't resist. - macmcraeart, on 07/01/2009, -3/+7True that the best things in life are free. The new color profiles rock.
- srg13, on 07/01/2009, -0/+4It's been rock solid for me - I actually upgraded to the pre-release version months ago because 3.0 became unstable.
- Andrew84, on 07/01/2009, -1/+5ENGLISH ***** DO YOU SPEAK IT
- lamiaconfitor, on 07/01/2009, -1/+5You suck.
