Digg News v2.1 Konfabulator Widget Available

patrickmccarron.com — I have updated my Digg News Konfabulator Widget to version 2.1. It now has customizable fonts & colors and a configurable drop down description box to view the digg description in a much easier way than before, but the old "classic" way still exists if you want to switch back. Not to mention even more digg RSS feeds are added!

    1---------------30---------------60

    and then you have a slider for you time but you dont have a readout of what time the slider is on.

    btw mccarron i love the widget, keep up to good work.

    favorite feature so far, is being able to click the sotry and it drops down and shows you the story rather then having to hovoer mouse over the story on the 2.0 widget.

  • Spanktacular, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The hover never works correctly for me. Instead of a box hovering with the description, the in-place text changes and I cannot read more than a single display line of description. When 2.1 first loaded, all the headlines were scrambled.

    I, too, will just stick with 2.0.

  • EricG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0While 2.1 is nice.. I prefer 2.0 .. anything other than 100% opacity for the widget in 2.1 makes the drop down box unreadable. With 2.0 the pop-open box is 100% opaque even if the main widget isn't, so it's easier to read.. Otherwise nice look to the drop down box..

  • tryferos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I am gonna keep using 2.0 as well. First the title bar is much better in 2.0, it has a design to it, its not just a rectangle. And I have good eyes so the transparency and the small font never bugged me. Also the other new features aren't really anything I need to use.

  • mccarron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0As far as the square versus round bar, I was sad to lose that too but I was having problems with it and the new drop down menus. The menus would show under the curved areas. I'm looking into ways around this, because I too want the "roundness" back.

    Also right now there is no way to easily digg stories from the Widget since the Widget is just getting a RSS feed. I'm looking into ways to do it via a harder method, but there may be a way eventually. I have ideas.
