- Gregd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Man, this is a tough crowd.
I'm sure every single one of you who are knocking him for attempting to enhance the digg experience, have done NOTHING to contribute except some harsh ass criticism.
Get off your asses and try something different for a change. Go out on a limb and try to enhance digg in some way besides always taking from it and the people who come here. - Nick_Circosta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1mmm I'l Stick to Safari RSS.. But +Digg because its inovative
- zakainsworth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's what I'm thinking... As I said before, I'm not trying to take anyone away from this site. But, even if I wanted to, do you really think I could?!... I don't.
- zakainsworth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1In case the page goes down, here a direct FileFront link:
http://files.filefront.com/diggtreezip/;4347773;;/fileinfo.html - underburn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Pretty lame... no love for the Apple Crew... -digg.
- zakainsworth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1^There ya go...
- zakainsworth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Because flash has a permission thing about XML feeds. I could only get it to work in the flash projector. I havn't figured out a way around it...
Any help is welcome... - zakainsworth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1sidewalkpilot,
Please realize that I am not trying to take anything away from this site. I support it 100%. There is still nothing like the real site. - LeeVal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1FileFront is crap i put it on here

Enjoy - zakainsworth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks for all the diggs, suggestions, and comments... And sorry about you mac guys. I'll post up the mac version later tonight. :)
- zakainsworth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Here's the mac version...
http://files.filefront.com/diggtreemaczip/;4351641;;/fileinfo.html - omnithrope, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow, only 2 minutes and it's down.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0why not put a demo on your website, if it's a flash progra
- Dujoducom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Alright, kind of cool... but anyone could whip this together, just a tree component and some simple XML parsing. I was hoping for some cooler features, but if it's a WIP maybe you should wait until you add some cooler stuff to unleash it. digg++ for the idea though.
- julioprimo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Looks like a shameless plug on a project looking for a VC ..... uh, on second thought, can I join?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have what ya need to get it to work... message me on aim... sn: vonelab
or email vonelab@gmail.com - Zoobster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yes, there are permissions rules to Flash's external retrieval. Has to be the same machine or server that Flash is launched from.
- Zoobster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If it's a Flash app, why does it need to be downloaded on FileFront? Just put the app on your page.
This is a case of a solution looking for a problem. This thing doesn't fit a need, it was just someone doing it to do it. There are already tons of tree-view newsreaders out there, and they aren't Flash (why have a browser open to view a flash file to view RSS feeds?). - andyzweb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yeah ++digg for the sweet idea, krose you should take note of this, after all you do call this a social news bookmarking system...
- newezra, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No digg. That example could be created in 10 minutes in Flash by using a few out of the box components.
- p014k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0WoW thats awsome.
- merm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What apple crew? Deosn't everybody hate Internet Explorer?
- Xinex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0OR you could just use the bloglines doler option...
- hooges, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I for one will say a great job on it. I like it a lot, way to help innovate and help out digg.
Don't listen to the idiots above...its worth a dig and its worth my time to check it out. - tarun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Don't hammer his server, but I can't seem to download from FileFront,
http://www.zakainsworth.com/downloads/diggtree.zip
Don't hammer, kids. - hawkes_cow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm with hooges. Why are people always bitchin'. All innovators have to start somewhere. How about some encouragement for once. And dont slag others for giving stuff a go, when you yourself are guilty of using Digg comments to shamelessly plug your own site.
Digg! - dude3609, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Please download off of a server that can spare real bandwidth.
Here,
http://poxy.us.to/diggtree.zip - gbm85, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A screenshot would be nice...
- hayden.evans, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0who wants to make digg look like anything windows
- heathenx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice little app. good work.
- javaCat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like it alot, works really smooth.
- Dujoducom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Don't bitch about people bitching unless you know what you're talking about. I gave him a digg, it's a good idea. It STILL could be made by someone with a bit of flash knowledge in like 15 minutes with the built in components though. It's like oohing at a C# tree component. I'll check it out again if you make any updates though.
- picardk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0great job !
- billflu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Dock your ipod in it's natural environment...
- minime, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice, but you know... Not everybody's using Windows...
- oldcyborg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well, I like it. I hope there is a simple way to pull it up. I will work on it, but I'm watching a movie at the same time I am typing this.
Good on YA, to those who put it forth!!
Cy - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0eww flash, what a load of *****
- billflu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0^Comment on wrong story^
- ext237, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Here's a version that is a HTML/XML/AJAX version. Just follow this link: http://www.digg.com.
Meanwhile, great job with the app and going Win32+Mac w/out being nagged. Got my digg. - pillfred, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0***** all the haters there just pissed you did it first.
- the_d, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I would say this should probably be an alpha version. It seems strange that you could build this, but not know the xml sandbox workaround. But +digg for the effort.
- DASH, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great job Zak! Keep it up!
- AmZa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0digg it
- nonokiaboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Awesome.
+Digg - Jasoco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I was hoping it would be a web-based one. Also, I digg just because the creator had the brains enough to make an OS X version as well as a Windows one. Still, I'd prefer an online web-based HTML/XML/AJAX version.
- TomJ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@ gregd "NOTHING to contribute except some harsh ass criticism"
Well put.
@ sidewalkpilot
I kind-of agree, certainly on principle . . . but do you really think this will make a dent in the traffic to THIS SITE? - Lionhart, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0"yeah, but who like microsoft explorer"
GTFO - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0wow this is not cool at all
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0If you like digg, use THIS SITE to view it, so we will be exposed to their ads. Otherwise, it could be gone.
- zforrester, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0yeah, but who like microsoft explorer

What is Digg?
