It just seems to me that if you implement this, your friggin IM is going to be launching every 5 seconds due to the amount of stories getting posted to the home page. Is the "ping off" feature used to control this?
It just seems that it would get annoying REAL fast.

Just one comment, when the bot returns the list of stories it should return them as links so that you can just click and go straight to the story.

Sounds like its not feasible to message so many people at once without the msn network kicking the bot off... oh well - rss it is - tidejwe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The bot should be programmed so that if you send it a command such as "SMS ON" it will send a "Mobile/SMS text message" to your cell phone instead of an Instant message. MSN has this capability, and I use it to send my contacts SMS messages all the time through MSN. If we could tell the bot to send it that way instead of as an IM that would be SWEET!!!

you can message the bot without adding it to your contact list , assuming you have "ALL OTHERS in your ALLOW list from Tools>Options>Privacy tab enabled. then go to
ACTIONS> Send an Instant Mesage> Other: and type in their contact email addy.
thought this was a good idea, it has potential, but disapointed the response from the bot wasn't with an active clickable link..perhaps in the next version ;) - DiggBotMSN, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sorry, Microsoft keeps booting the bot offline when it tries to send out a notification of a new item (probably because they think that 700+ messages to 700+ accounts is some kind of a flood).
