Turns out Craigslist has this automatic script that detects a ton of traffic from a single IP address (my server) and bans by throttling the traffic, so maybe once things die down it might start working well again. At least they didn't officially ban it just yet. :)
Here is the message that shows up on my server:

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Not really. Classified listings are greatly enhanced by the addition of pictures. Wanting pictures isn't a symptom of ADHD, it's just wanting more information. Do you really think sites like eBay would be enhanced by having mostly-text listings?

|| || - Quavistar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's a nice non-proprietary tool; I don't think CL would be compelled to act on it (except to mash (it)), it's not like it solves an unmet need or fixes a huge problem. However, it would be worthy of a digg, if it had mouse-over-magnification (like the Mac Dock) and a control of sort to turn off, on or adjust magnification.

They have a voting system for all the postings and it has thumbnails too. - diggeredoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0never understood the point of going to a 3rd party site to view the contents of the original site. postings on craigslist are easy to identify as having an image or not. It's not like there's 50,000 posts from today for 'yoursearchstring', and your forced to wade thru all of them. It is weird though that they don't have a 'posts with images only' check box or something but maybe they should consider it ;)
