- racketboy, on 11/04/2008, -1/+13I'm loving my G1 so far. Apps are off to a nice start, but there is still so much potential!
- enotswhat, on 11/05/2008, -0/+11This is a headset joke right?
- gllopc, on 11/05/2008, -0/+8When is Android coming to New Verizland?
- inactive, on 11/05/2008, -4/+12Ditch the iPhone, the G1 is awesome. If you don't have one, get one. The apps are already fantastic and getting better everyday.
- slightlyoffbeat, on 11/05/2008, -0/+3When is Android coming to Verizon?
- inactive, on 11/05/2008, -0/+3It has a player.
Do you mean stream music? I'm using iMeem for now, it's not bad but I'm sure there are better players on the way. I think Last.fm came out with one this week. - krische, on 11/05/2008, -2/+4All I gotta say is Sprint better start getting some Android phones in the works.
- deeek, on 11/05/2008, -1/+3I agree. The potential alone sold me.
- riggs32, on 11/05/2008, -0/+2android needs to come to sprint! i love how sweet americas mobile phone industry is! not being able to switch providers w/o paying early termination charges and signing up for another 2-3 year contract!
- spudsstuff, on 11/04/2008, -3/+5When is Android coming to new zealand?
- ozziek, on 11/05/2008, -0/+2And if the appstore is anything to go by you'll see:-
- Todo apps
- Spirit level apps
- Countdown apps
- App that turn your screen into a torch
- Speed apps
and many more of the same until developers get a) less lazy and b) more creative - colonels1020, on 11/05/2008, -0/+2If AT&T would get an Android phone, I'd sell my iPhone to get one. I can write my own apps and install it on there without needing the App Store's approval first.
- mstachiw, on 11/05/2008, -0/+2I love Apple products, but I have TMobile (trust me once you go with a carrier with minimal problems you dont want to leave) AND went with the G1.
IMO the G1 is form follows function the iPhone is form over function but you can't really go wrong with either - deeek, on 11/05/2008, -0/+1The G1 comes with a decent audio player which can handle grouping music by artist, track or albums; and you can make playlists as well.
There is also an app called TuneWiki which is described in the article. - moocow1452, on 11/05/2008, -0/+1The source code is open source. You could have it be a Yahoo! Phone with 24/7 incogneto mode with IP scrambler that redirects to Nigeria.
- gllopc, on 11/05/2008, -1/+2I love my iPhone, but I can't wait to see what happens with Android.
- moocow1452, on 11/05/2008, -1/+2That bar code one looks ingenious, as well as the Shazam! one.
- leuksho, on 11/05/2008, -0/+1Yup, they do. A rep. came to my school to give us a lecture about the company and showed off some of their Google phones. They have one coming coming out that is made by HTC as well and looks awfully similar to the G1.
As for Verizon, there is the Blackberry Storm. Might look into it since I enjoy their service, and its nice because I really do not want to switch to AT&T. - anenokoji, on 11/05/2008, -0/+1If I could run an g1 w/o using gmail and google having my data I would by one.
- NarutoRamen, on 11/05/2008, -0/+1For reals dude. I just got my G1 yesterday. At first I was kind of disappointed because the user guide isn't that great, but after just messing around with the phone it has gotten consistently better. Now a few more apps in the marketplace and of course I'm hoping to mess around and create my own (learning C# right now) and we'll see where it goes from there. There is definitely so much potential.
My only gripe was that I had to manually add EACH contact I had. - Twenty, on 11/05/2008, -0/+1Seriously, AT&T has got to get on this. They're in bed with the iPhone though, so why would they release a gphone?
- itsradBrad, on 11/05/2008, -0/+1Nope, but you might just BUY one.
- inactive, on 11/05/2008, -0/+1Shazam doesn't make you more productive.
- leuksho, on 11/05/2008, -0/+1Ok, maybe not. I'm really losing hope for Verizon. Might just switch to another company as well. Damn, I'll miss their network.

http://www.fixya.com/support/p982210-google_androi ... - inactive, on 11/05/2008, -0/+1Shazam is not ingenious its very old idea which no adult should have any use for.
- pcghost, on 11/05/2008, -1/+1I just wish the openmoko freerunner port of Android would be released. Even in alpha.
- crackjack375, on 12/03/2008, -0/+0I have a G1, and i came to it from a iPhone 3G... I do not miss a damn thing from the iPhone except the convience of the head phone jack. If the G1 had a regular head phone jack it would be perfect. Android is awesome, and im starting to make my own apps at home, and its super easy.
- dms1, on 11/05/2008, -1/+1iphone gone G1 is the way to go
the way to add mp3s and select any for a ringtone is reason enough to give your iphone away - plussignpro, on 11/06/2008, -0/+0I wonder what the marketing implications will be. There's a free marketing online course for writers and bloggers.
http://www.plussignproductions.org/2008/10/free-cl ... - BrendanSheehan, on 11/05/2008, -3/+3How do you listen to music on a G1?
- alittleroy101, on 11/05/2008, -2/+2Holy *****, those look incredible. The geographically aware errand reminder program is a great idea.
- TJanai, on 11/05/2008, -0/+0The Compare Everywhere sounds awesome! I'd definitely use that.
- Benjigga, on 11/05/2008, -2/+1As a G1 owner, I would suggest waiting for 2nd gen.
