"RARLab has agreed to offer members of DonationCoder.com a 20% discount on purchases of WinRAR, and has generously donated 10 copies of WinRAR for us to give away to our members."
How can you trust this review when the winner is also a sponsor? - yagotta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A very good, comprehensive review. Read it if you are still looking for the best archive tool, and let it inspire you to do some testing on your own.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The way I read it: the review was conducted in September 2005. At least all the discussion in the forum thread for this review took place that month. Now we have this announcement of discounts, which I read to come from April, 2006; about half a year later.

It's good that you carefully read the review and made your own opinion. My opinion is that this review is in no way tainted. - mouser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the reviews are completely objective.
they are written and published before any discounts or donated copies are accepted/asked for.
