- Skab, on 01/18/2009, -2/+28Please give me THE page with THE link, cause all I'm seeing is a wiki with very little info about torrents, and a url address to digg.com under gnutella.

- dhughes, on 01/18/2009, -0/+19 What about country wide 'reverse net neutrality' where only people within a country can view certain website, that's just as bad.
- hawkeye22, on 01/18/2009, -0/+16Leave the internet now. Thanks.

Link to the actual application. - BrokenVisage, on 01/18/2009, -4/+13No comments, no diggs, no views, no MrBabyMan, yet front page? Yeah.. maybe Digg should be checked for POPULARITY Neutrality.
- diskit, on 01/18/2009, -0/+7So has anyone tried it yet?
Does it work? - coldkill3r, on 01/18/2009, -2/+7http://www.savetheinternet.com

That's the Switzerland tool from the EFF. - crugg, on 01/18/2009, -2/+7Fight for net neutrality!
- Bbanda, on 01/18/2009, -0/+5I Think you've got it backwards boss. I believe dhughes means certain websites are only viewable within the country that creates them, like many things on hulu for instance.

China blocks incoming content if I'm not mistaken but I'm sure they probably restrict within the country too. - Kronos6948, on 01/18/2009, -1/+5It's in Alpha, folks, so if you're not comfortable with a program until it's fully ready, I suggest you wait.
- crugg, on 01/18/2009, -1/+4Good point, that already happens in some states, such as China.
- diskit, on 01/18/2009, -0/+3I hear that.
Someone let me know when it's closer to being finished. - imakeholesinu, on 01/19/2009, -0/+3I'm pretty sure they'll all be in violation. The problem here is that even if Net Neutrality is passed, will the courts ever enforce it or will AT&T, Verizon and Comcast just buy their way out of lawsuits?
- crugg, on 01/18/2009, -0/+3I don't think you understand the idea behind "net neutrality".
- dhughes, on 01/18/2009, -0/+2 Either situation is bad, yes Bbanda you're correct that's what I meant but crugg's point is also valid.
Really there are three types of censorship in this situation: an internal country-specific restriction i.e. Hulu, an internal country-specific restriction such as China has and the classic non-neutral Internet where an ISP or some corporation (backbone provider) determines what they want to flow through and who gets to see it. - bigbluemachine, on 01/18/2009, -0/+2Seeing as how certain aspects of the algorithm are invisible to us like how many times it has or has not been buried as well as just dugg along with the simple reasoning that chances are for a large website/community such as this there is always somebody working on something if not lots of people working on lots of things.
Point is don't bitch just to bitch. Digg is made up of us, the users, if you have a problem with something why not send it straight to the powers that be along with whatever "evidence" you believe you have.
- As for myself I'm burying both you and the article as I find both of them add nothing at this point and time. - sparrowkc, on 01/18/2009, -1/+2Ok, I'm running it in ubuntu. How do I know if it finds something?
Edit: Ahh, it reports when you close it. - Hillsfar, on 01/18/2009, -1/+2Sounds like there's some questions about Digg's own net neutrality here...
- dhughes, on 01/18/2009, -2/+2 Maybe lots of views but not many comments.
- psion01, on 01/18/2009, -2/+2Ggid moves in mysterious ways.
- BrokenVisage, on 01/18/2009, -2/+1Screw you, I'm bored and I'll bitch just to bitch when I want to bitch just to bitch... beeotch!
- MalumProhibitum, on 01/18/2009, -3/+1most awesome idea ever
- FlyingCaveman, on 01/18/2009, -4/+1I have Comcast.
- FishThePirate, on 01/18/2009, -9/+3They have a link to the download right in the article. If finding a link is giving you trouble you'll probably have trouble with the command line interface of the program too.
- bldotueyez, on 01/18/2009, -11/+3added 20h ago, 50 digg's, frontpage
- sebby2022, on 01/18/2009, -15/+340 Diggs, no comments, Front page?
- syntaxgs, on 01/18/2009, -24/+1uh some websites ar e better AND DIFFRENT than others how can the internet be neutral?? o.o
