Lego Gun Dude(Internets, USA): legos rock man and I love shooting *****.
Charlie Rose: Stay tuned for the awe inspiring Lego Gun demonstration following the Ellen Degeneres American Express commercial . - ejdmoo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5This isn't software or anything cool; it's just a coined term and a method. Not only that, but the method itself isn't rocket science. It's just saying, "Use a real video camera if you want better quality than a webcam. Use two at the same time if you're video conferencing, then edit them together to have an interview." Wow...big deal...
- profJohn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's not new software or news, but it is adding value insofar that it helps less tech savvy folks know what existing, widely available technology can help them make. That's the bread and butter of community tech activism, which is what Phil does a great job in promoting. (I'm biased, as I've done work with Phil in the past, and I share many of his goals. And it's a nice "it's a small virtual world" moment when you run across a friend's work randomly on Digg.)
- DigiDave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It was hard to place this in a category. I almost put it in educational video.
But it is about software -- particularly about the lack of software to do something that would be really handy to have. In hindsight -- Mods would have been better huh? My bad -- as they say. - DigiDave, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2One is mentioned: "An alternative software (which is free), might be Avid Free DV."
Again -- in hindsight the post is more about method than software -- shoulda been put in the Mod section (see comment above). My bad. - marinist, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"QuickTime will allow you to pull in both video feeds quite easily and arrange them in different parts of the screen"
Any decent web video developer could do that already. - TastyQQQs, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Sixth post.
