AVG False-Positive Makes Windows XP Systems Reboot Endlessly

hardwaretricks.net — The signature update for the antivirus product wrongfully identified a critical system file in the Windows XP operating system as Trojan horse. Upon „disnfection”, AVG users noticed that their systems were stuck in an endless reboot loop. Those less fortunate would only find out that their computer would not boot at all.

  • inactive, on 11/11/2008, -0/+1There are way better solutions to traditional blacklist scanners (AV's) such as HIPS, Sandboxes and or Virtualization.

    And of course you should still employ a decent backup system such as ghost/true imaging.
