- eConsultant, on 10/12/2007, -1/+23Please DO NOT Digg this story; he has just cut-and-pasted the content from here.
You can see the ad networks are listed in the same order - he has just removed the sub-headings.

I left a comment on his site and he promptly deleted that comment; so he knows what he has done. - Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Very handy... especially when Adsense incorrectly cuts you off for click fraud
- addicted68098, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I hate to say it, I am the biggest google fan, but adsense isn't as good as traditional advertising. Most users have learned to just look past those boxes.
- Negyxo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10I had a site of mine running adsense for a few weeks, one of our articles hit digg frontpage... 2 weeks later we got banned from adsense for click fraud. We got banned maybe a week before our first adsense check. It was fun.

Shut off Adblock in Firefox. Then they'll work. :P - eConsultant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9This list is a copy-and-paste job from the original:
Top Advertising Networks
http://www.econsultant.com/lists/top-10-advertising-networks.html - rhymevigilante, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I like how the guy has his blog plastered with adsense ads.
- sublimethinker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8It would have been nice if he had reviewed the sites or at least provided some more information. Good list nonetheless.
- happyyellowbug, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Which of the 84 are direct and compelling alternatives? For instance, which are free and which serve smaller traffic sites? Which serve ads relevant to your site's content? This appears to merely be a list of advertising companies...
- Darmichar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5He's running a racket.
1. Make a blog listing 'alternatives to AdSense' pay-per-click ad sites.
2. Load page with AdSense ads
3. ??
4. Profit - grablife, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Don't expect to get rich with adsense. For those who are not using it, here's what you might expect. Your mileage may vary.
330,000 page impressions, 137 clicks, .04%, $76 earned. (1 year period) - jordan314, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3404 for me too...
try this
http://www.duggmirror.com/software/84_Google_Adsense_alternatives/ - dbug, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4The kalator ad-scripts are working fine for me. I just added one to my website (not that it gets any traffic but hey, it's the thought that counts).
- Flanker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Most of these in-text programs require you to have over 500,000 views per month. Would be cool to hear of any exceptions!
- anagoge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Remember when the Internet used to be like walking in a really nice park? Now, it's like walking down a back alley.
- wwwaddedsavings, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Thanks for the links because from my experience you shouldn't relay to heavily on adsense ads on making money.
- dbug, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Sorry for the multiple comments, but I checked if there was a digg story on kalator and found it here:
http://digg.com/software/Kalator_Open_Source_AdSense
Maybe we can get it to the frontpage so more people learn about it, as it seems to be a pretty nice idea. - doodlebumm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It was kind of like a list for people who have time to go look at the details of all 84. It would have been nice to see more information about them, if only a category for each type. Good list, just not enough real info.
- jovada, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I think he knows that his content was stolen :)

When you go to an article:
http://www.wikistock.com/site/wiki/CandleStick+Charting
Put a 468x60 horizontal adblock underneath "Created by Rovo, last modification" etc (under the ----- line.
Make your background and border white, your text black, and the 2 links #557799. That way it will look more like your site.
Change the color scheme for the skyscraper on the left side too, make that match.
And don't forget to add another horizontal banner at the bottom of the page. When visitors finish reading your article, they will think "What do I do now?". And of course your Google ads will be there to show them where else they can go. The Link Units work nicely, 468x15 is nice.
Don't forget to create a channel for each place where you put the ads, make one called "Left Skyscraper", one called "Top Banner", "Bottom Links". Then make sure you select the right one when you generate your banner code. When you view your stats you'll be able to see which ones get the most clicks. I found that the 468x60 banners at the top of my pages work the best, they make around 60% of the total adsense revenue for me. - signal15, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It depends on the content of your site. I get more page impressions per year than that on http://www.juniperforum.com , but my payout is considerably higher because the ads that google chooses to display pay out much higher.
I've had ads on other sites also, and I've found that the content of the site really makes a big difference. Unfortunately, Google's TOS prohibits you from talking about your actual eCPM stats and other such things, so there's no real way to compare it with others in a public forum.
I'm considering just hitting up some of the vendors that use my site and selling them exclusive ad space on a monthly basis. It may not make me any extra money, but it reduce the amount of time I spend looking at statistics and making minor changes to see how they affect my ad revenue. - Negyxo, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6@ zatrix
Yeah, wow dude, any ***** could report you and get you banned for inviting people to click. - Darmichar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Please digg this comment up so others see it.
The person that submitted this story (abduljaleel) is a fraud, plagiarizing others articles as his own, and getting the ad revenues to boot. Please see eConsultant's comment above, and then take a look at many of abduljaleel's submitted stories. Most are verbatim copies from other sites, which he then posts to his 'blogs' as his own and reaps the ad revenue's. - mooninite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's 404 now because he took it down after he was found out.
Read eConsultant's comment. - itanshi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2for adding to an adblock blacklist?
but yeah i do find it useful, gotta support server costs and paying the programmers. - gmillerd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Rule #1, dont 404 your best links I guess.
- whappo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yea...

): - pinoyazrael, on 02/26/2009, -0/+1Adsense isn't the only way to make money form your site anymore!
http://www.ridiculousblogger.com - mrbambastik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The payout is mentionned for some of these advertisers, for example "Casale Media" is 70%.
Do you know what is Google Adsense's payout? - ergo98, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@jbarnett-
Thank you kindly for the thought, but honestly I'm happy that you couldn't. :-) I would feel guilty about any clicks that weren't because someone was legitimately drawn by the ad.
@bitcloud-
Around 2500 distinct visitors a day. I guess it isn't -that- small (I've had a bunch of fairly popular pages, including two or three that have been on the front page of Digg, and probably two dozen Reddit front pages. As a sidenote about that - on those huge volume days there are pretty much zero clicks. It helps with pagerank as a million bloggers copy links they see on these sites, but it certainly doesn't yield monetarily). - gmillerd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Depends on his nitche and how adsense is working with his website. If you just toss adsense on your phpbb2 forums and get 100k hits per day its not the same as tuning the content engine for adsense thats for sure. He also isn't telling us how much of the 330k was proxy ads. Where he got a hit, but no paying adsense ad was presented. That information is vital.
- gmillerd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hooking up with an ad shop can be very evil. You really really need to know your traffic in order to negotiate with them is probably the first thing you must do before trolling that list for a provider. Setting up adcycle and going it self-made. Perhaps bringing in someone eventually who can sell the ads in your nitche arena is an alternative. But you really need to be something special to be able to make your millions of hits translate into an ad source people want to invest in either way -- google or whereever.
Websites like plentyoffish that make a small fortune on adsense likely would suck if they went to one of these vendors as well. - eoecho, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5"Pennies from the Google empire" is getting old. Thanks for the digg to this post.
- j3one, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2yes, wow.. those are winners.
- acca, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1this page doesn't exist anymore
- neoknight, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2adbrite has good customizing concerning the layout and the way you can have the ads displayed. text link ads are hard to get especially if your site has a low alexa ranking or low google pagerank.
yahoo is good, only you have to be in the US now. the rest got no idea. - bitcloud, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah I get the impression that if the internet was a mall, digg would be a community of mallrats.
It seems visitors who are spontaneous to click on your link are spontaneous enough to click away not long after. It's a very interesting dynamic where the vast majority are there to browse and while away the time. - ChrisStigson, on 12/08/2008, -0/+1Don't waste your time with AdSense.. They shut down accounts and steal your money if they can. I've seen many friends lose thousands to adsense and spend YEARS building their networks.
I don't recommend it anymore, but I used to. Now I promote affiliate marketing which works all the time!
Good luck making money online people!
- Chris - jeffjonez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1it's a secret... imagine that!
- jeffjonez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Adsense pays out based on clicks, once you've accumulated at least $100. This means about 98% of bloggers that use it will never see a dime. Scrapers and typo squatters, on the other hand, are getting rich!
- geronimo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1ad sonar does this.
- macbookhair, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1i actually registered this same name and I am recreating it legit. Everyone digg it.
- rovo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I don't understand this impression system? I don't get paid for impressions, is this right?
- pksynths, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2AdSense is also around 70%. Go to any SEO forum for the info.
- gmillerd, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Did you contact Google, been easy to resolve for me? Let me tell you most of the spammers in that list will cut you off far quicker than a google will for far less than a few clicks. Ad placement not aligned properly as agreed on legacy browser, no soup for you!
- zatrix, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4@Negyxo - thanks for your worry, but I don't think "feel free to click away" is incentive for people to click. Plus I was refering to my site link...
Either way it seems that someone went cliker happy... - motang, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2404 Not found
