- GOJOE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2DUDE! if they added that paint, it would be awesome. Paint.net looks so friggen awesome. Every mspaint has been exactly the same, but this one looks like it has layers and every thing. It is SO much better. GO MSPAINT.NET! make it though. It is the little app that can.

1. MSPaint. Yes - it hasn't changed, it's great that way. You want something better? Go get one of the millions of graphics editors available.
2. Windows Mail Communication Dialog - this is just nitpicking.
3. Font's Install Dialog - I haven't installed fonts in to Windows this way since 3.11. Here's a hint buddy, to install new fonts in Windows, just copy them to the WindowsFonts directory. Yes, it's that easy.
4. The Internet Explorer Import/Export Dialog - more nitpicking. Itmay be simplified, but it gets the job done in 5 mouse clicks. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Yeah, these complaints are utterly lame. It's funny, though; I use both Windows and Mac, and I can think of far more UI stupidities on the Mac.

Ever heard of 'placeholders' ? That's what all of these are, if you had tried one of the betas over a year ago you would've seen hundreds of old icons and so on, they were just palce holders till they're replaced with the new ones and there are now barely any left.
Also, MSPaint HAS changed aside from the UI, there are some diferences in cropping, resizing and so on.

- Inaeth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This just goes to show that what I've been saying for eight years now- Microsoft needs to release an OS that is built from the ground up from a clean slate. The legacy code in Windows is horrendous, and the "House of Cards" cliche has been applied to Vista in the Tech news sites more than a handful of times in recent weeks.
- schneitj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I thought that MS sponser some college senior project to create a paint replacement, and that since it was so good it was going to be included in Vista. ... I don't know what to say if it's not in the beta.
