- mcherm, on 04/29/2008, -0/+1That's insane! To RUN a benchmark requires lots of hardware and stuff. But to DEVELOP one requires mostly brainpower, time and deep background knowledge of the subject (3D graphics). It's the sort of thing you'd expect open source to produce -- and it wouldn't cost $5 Million. Plus, if it were openly developed by hobbyists I wouldn't worry that it was secretly biased for/against one company or another. (It might be biased, but at least the biases would be visible.)
