- chandan333, on 04/04/2008, -1/+12I like that database one.
there are many on that list which i haven't heard of before. - davidwasman, on 04/04/2008, -2/+10Hmm...should have added WP-Cache to the list
- acetv, on 04/04/2008, -0/+6These comments sound so robotic.
FAST SHIPPING GREAT PRODUCT WOULD BUY FROM AGAIN A++++++ - jggube, on 04/04/2008, -0/+4Is SuperCache better then WP-Cache? I found a very nice writeup about it here: http://ocaoimh.ie/wp-super-cache/ - It uses three Digg stories that have front paged as a performance benchmark.
- mtwolf, on 04/04/2008, -1/+5you dont have a blog...poser
- msaleem, on 04/04/2008, -2/+6Savvy is definitely the key word here. I use a lot of plugins on my blog but I have never felt the need for any of these. To be fair, at the same time I do know people who would use most of these.
- LegalSatire, on 04/04/2008, -3/+7This list is for a bit more of a hardcore user than I am. SuperCache is about the most out there thing I've had to install. This list certainly requires the savvy user!
- inactive, on 04/04/2008, -2/+5Must be all those plug-ins are making lots of extra database calls bogging down the server, I can't get the page to load (not on the front page at this time either)
- JonnyCasino, on 04/04/2008, -1/+4I find Exec-PHP quite helpful, and I use it quite often. Thanks for the list.
- inactive, on 04/04/2008, -0/+3To manage databases, you can't beat Navicat. 100x better than any possible wordpress plug-in.
- Archon810, on 04/04/2008, -1/+4Your statement is full of *****. Properly installed and operated, wordpress is robust and fast.
- jggube, on 04/04/2008, -0/+3If you don't consider Smashing Magazine, Freelanceswitch, PSDtuts, copyblogger, zenhabits, youthedesigner savvy users, then yes, non-savvy users indeed DON'T use wordpress.
- thailand1972, on 04/04/2008, -4/+6Savvy users don't use WP - that is one CPU hungry mess. Caching should not be a plugin, but part of the generic build. How many WP sites go down on Digg? Stop defending such sloppy coding. Now, I expect all WP users to digg me down because they feel hurt through association.
- skinjester, on 04/04/2008, -1/+3what do savvy users use instead? movable type? code their own CMS?
- BlaenkDenum, on 04/04/2008, -0/+1WP-Cache is the past. WP-Super Cache is the future (Which also utilizes WP-Cache for certain parts anyways).
- shihengcheong, on 04/04/2008, -3/+4Thanks for the very useful list.
- Scatropolis, on 04/04/2008, -0/+1Why? They're all pictures.
- inactive, on 04/04/2008, -0/+1Leaving the eval and related php functions enabled under php.ini is a great way to get your system rooted.

- vagrantradio, on 04/04/2008, -0/+1You're so sarcasm savvy.
- Archon810, on 04/04/2008, -0/+1Except it's buggy and freezes a lot. I'm still too used to it though to give it up. I've filed 2 bugs with them so far that are getting fixed in the upcoming versions. At least their support is semi-responsive.
- AbstortedMinds, on 04/05/2008, -0/+1haha, ill give you credit on that :p
- ajaypathak, on 04/19/2008, -0/+1i don't think they are very useful plugins
http://readerszone.com/microsoft/tracing-the-path- ... - Archon810, on 04/04/2008, -0/+1Supercache is a superset for wp-cache, and yes, it's a lot better.
- jggube, on 04/04/2008, -0/+1If you peak into wordpress core files, you would see that it's not really as bloated as you would think, at least compared to a lot of other CM (or 'blogging platform' I guess is the buzzword) systems out there.
- nusuni, on 04/04/2008, -4/+415 more ways to make the already bloated WordPress run even slower, hooray!
- khyberkitsune, on 04/04/2008, -3/+3WP needs stability to handle loads of traffic. No caching? What were the makers of WP smoking when they decided it should be a plugin and not part of the program itself?
- hinchb, on 04/04/2008, -3/+3Why would you want to put anything wordpress in your site, you link it to 5 people and your site would crash. Who wants that?
- seanmc303, on 04/04/2008, -3/+2How right you are.
- Whackly, on 04/04/2008, -4/+3I scanned the article but didn't see a plug in that would stop a wordpress digg submission from tanking after 3 minutes. Pointless.
- inactive, on 04/04/2008, -5/+4I've come away with two plug-ins that I'll implement on my own blog!
- HigherLogic, on 04/04/2008, -2/+1ExpressionEngine :)
- bamafun, on 04/04/2008, -4/+2nice list of plugins - not the typical list and good examples of how to use them ! thanks for sharing!
- AbstortedMinds, on 04/04/2008, -3/+1savvy is such a lame newb word
- mesarah, on 04/04/2008, -5/+3This is great!
- kingkool68, on 04/04/2008, -8/+2These are pretty good. I wrote up a list of my favorite Wordpress plugins with screenshots on my blog here -> http://www.russellheimlich.com/blog/my-favorite-wo ...
- inactive, on 04/04/2008, -12/+6Invalid. A savvy user wouldn't go near wordpress.
