- Thinkerofthings, on 11/17/2008, -0/+5I love the iphone... i used to check every day what new apps came out. But now, I'm so bored. Non of the apps are so great that I can't live without them. They usually never go beyond 'nifty' then quickly just another icon. This phone has the ability to be so much more, hopefully it's potential will eventually be realized.
- dennisplucinik, on 11/17/2008, -0/+4or just taking videos period
- dennisplucinik, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2Yes Cigar Aficionado. Maybe the cigar thing suits me personally but think of it as umbrella for how a magazine might broaden it's reach.
It might be more relevant for you to think of a magazine you subscribe to... I don't know, say, Qr Mag?
...and for the record, we're talking about non-existent apps. - awolfe91, on 11/23/2008, -0/+1i agree. that's on my list of must haves
- dharasick, on 11/18/2008, -1/+1a) All those sucked.
b) Incomplete article.
Fail. - Zippo, on 11/17/2008, -1/+1Short of a couple of the Google apps, these are all garbage... Seriously, Cigar Aficionado?
Here's my personal list:
1. Remote - a no brainer.
2. WeatherEye - Sure the default Weather.app is nice, but WeatherEye provides a lot more details for Canadians, as well as severe weather warnings.
3. Google Earth - just plain cool
4. Now Playing and What's On? - I know iTV combines the functionality of these two into the one app, but I find these individual apps are much nicer to use.
5. TimmyMe - A (humorous) must-have for Canadians (and any American lucky enough to have a Tim Horton's in their state). I'll definitely be using this on my next roadtrip.
6. Fring - Best IM app I've used. Let's you even use SkypeOut. Hell, it's free.
7. Rooms - the only decent IRC app I've seen so far.
8. DataCase - turns your iPhone into an AFP/FTP/HTTP file server. Your iPhone even automatically shows up in Finder's sidebar.
9. WiFiFoFum - A great little app for quickly detecting WiFi networks and detailed info on them (and can display them in a neat Radar-like image)
10. Koi Pond - Best 99¢ I ever spent.
11. Shazam - Incredibly useful when you hear a song and can't remember/don't know the title and/or artist. - nelsy, on 11/17/2008, -0/+0Only thing I want on my iPhone is video call.
