What are these sites for again? - theadvinci, on 11/20/2008, -1/+6Many businesses use Skype these days.
- shaherazad, on 11/21/2008, -0/+41) The Internets

3) Profit - jemka, on 11/21/2008, -0/+4You lost me at pen and paper.
- shwerm601, on 11/21/2008, -0/+3Dimdim is really worth checking out, I work at Ohio State and my boss has been working indirectly with Dimdim throughout most of the development process. This one is certainly a winner. We are in the process of setting up webmeeting.osu which will be using Dimdims software and provide a video conferencing mechanism for all students at Ohio State.
- alais, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2Fax Zero? sorry, not really interested in spamming my customers.
- rdolishny, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2formatting or something is busted on that page: ff + windows
- phaoloo, on 11/23/2008, -0/+2must spend too much to get these tools.

- L0NER, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2Don't forget the kill fee!
- Eraser, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2... or how about just an additional "test" site that is an exact replica of the production site for work in progress that can be used, tested and viewed prior to moving things to the live production site?
- pastathellama, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2rofl...Sometimes less is more.
Don't forget about pen and paper. - seantubridy, on 11/21/2008, -1/+3I'm surprised Basecamp isn't on here. Backpack is good but Basecamp covers a few of these.
- ghee22, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2Although nowhere near the capabilities of Basecamp, an open source alternative that you can run off your own web server is in the works: ProjectPier
- bradleyland, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2Anyone responsible for telecom decisions that chooses Skype ought to have their nuts shot off. Skype's reliability and call quality are the worst in the business when it comes to VoIP service. Skype is great for people who need a cheap way to make calls from their computer or internationally, but in the business scope, it's garbage.
- msaleem, on 11/21/2008, -1/+3This list is a bit much. All you need is a telephone, an email address (where you can also receive faxes), Skype (for IM, voice calling, and video conferencing), and maybe gotomeeting if you really need screensharing for presentations.
- phoque, on 11/22/2008, -0/+2Most of them cost too much money, sorry.
- arleym, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2Ha, the content frame breaks in IE7.
Good list, surprised Basecamp and Getsignoff weren't on there. - inactive, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1The two things I have are phone (of course) and email (of course), the latter with storage capacity, so that when the time comes that the client says, "No, that's not what I wanted," I may copy and paste into an email a piece of the client's previous email showing "Yes, you did."
The thing I DON'T have (or haven't figured out HOW to have) is this. The client is distant. She prefers not to view work-in-progress offline. She prefers to view online, in steps, as work progresses, before the updates "go live," without disturbing the current website. The current website is to remain undisturbed. The updated files, in progress, are to have the same names as the current live files (same URL). A true puzzle. Javascript (body onload), I guess, and/or a hidden link?
