- leighedwards, on 01/29/2009, -7/+34It's not lupus.
- feliks2, on 11/10/2008, -2/+28By the way, he died like 2000 years ago, if he existed. Time to get over him.
- statuescrumble, on 11/10/2008, -5/+21Btw, Jesus isn't American... hes not white either/.
- Bauer22, on 11/10/2008, -2/+17@ Feliks2
That was during the dinosaurs right?
/sarcasm - geodebug, on 11/10/2008, -2/+14Eboooooooooooooooooooooooooooola?
--- soccer announcer - cruik, on 11/10/2008, -2/+13Now that it's afflicting famous people, we have to do something!
- NaziHatinChimp, on 11/10/2008, -3/+14Thank you Captain Obvious.
- DarkoKun, on 11/10/2008, -4/+15So it begins.....
- chezeberger, on 11/10/2008, -1/+12sometimes we are shown how little we actually know, there is a lot science has yet to uncover.
- Vladamir, on 11/10/2008, -1/+10I would love to see you say that to an Italian footballer.
- geodebug, on 11/10/2008, -0/+8Was going to respond with something clever and snarky, then thought pfft, not worth it.
- JacobAndrews, on 11/10/2008, -2/+10*****, I'm moving to madagascar
- RespectableGuy, on 11/10/2008, -1/+8"Some players have suggested donating 1% of their salaries to finance research" Thats like 500 trillion dollars!
- Mujokan, on 11/10/2008, -0/+7I like the "athletic gene" theory. The advantage you get from being extra athletic would counteract the disadvantage of getting MND in your forties.
- jjones20, on 11/10/2008, -0/+6dugg for thinking what i was thinking and saying what i was gonna say.
- Jack8274, on 11/10/2008, -0/+5A threesome with 1 girl, nice...
Though I do feel quite sorry for them living with that condition. They have probably been called freaks their whole lives. Now this comes up with a topic of abortion, if my child was found in the early stages to be conjoined, I would abort the child to prevent them living a horrible life. Plus there are a number of medical associated problems with conjoined twins because of shared organs. Now because I'm an atheist I see no problem, but because their are many stupid people who believe it's murder, I don't think it would be so easy. - casualgod, on 11/10/2008, -1/+6What about Rugby Union & League? AFAIK there are no Australian former Rugby players who have this condition.
Helmets are for girls. - Jooshbro, on 11/10/2008, -2/+7*****, somebody call House.
- ucuntu, on 11/10/2008, -0/+5Have you ever headed a football?
I'm sorry, but heading a football isn't the link here. How many English, Spanish, French, German, Brazilian or Argentine ex football payers contracted this?
If repeated trauma to the head is causing this, then why aren't Boxers or Footballers (you know, the ones in the Crash Helmets) getting this disease?
I'd say its more likely to be some crazy drug given to these Italian players in the late 80s/early 90s.
Heading the ball, thats the stupidest thing I've ever heard! - thankyoupatrick, on 11/10/2008, -0/+4NFL players have bigger issues... Not too long ago I read that the average lifespan of a pro football player is 55 years old. The major contributing factors were suicide and depression.
As for european footallers, the pesticides used on the pitches seems to be the likely culprit, but hopefully we'll find out soon. - tmyprod, on 11/10/2008, -3/+7That is terrible and fascinating.
terribly fascinating? - MikeyBillz, on 11/10/2008, -0/+4Yeah - If only soccer players would spend more time bent over with their asses in their teammates' faces, or heaped in a pile of large sweaty men, or passing the ball to each other between their legs...like American footballers.
American footballers are so gay, they have to wear pads and helmets to protect themselves from the gayness...alas, it doesn't work. It just allows them to anonymously grope each other's testicles.... - sockpuppets, on 11/10/2008, -2/+6No, this is.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSy9W3gIhnQ - sagesoup, on 11/10/2008, -0/+4well yeah you are right. i was trying to say that the idea of getting this disease from heading a soccer ball cant really be their best idea..
- kngserious, on 11/10/2008, -2/+6If its from tackling than why aren't NFL players getting it...
- MendotaLee, on 11/10/2008, -3/+6I hope this has nothing to do with organized crime. The mafia over there is really intense. They fixed the entire league about four years ago.
- owls27, on 11/10/2008, -2/+5Lou Gehrig's Disease is a crazy one
- matchboxlord, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3How's that different from American football, or basketball, or hockey, etc..?
- marshallpeck, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3"Some players have suggested donating 1% of their salaries"
I guess no one really gives a *****.
can i hear 10? 20? - dananabanana, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3You clearly didn't read the comment-- he said he hasn't read it "in a while".
- Elohir, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3What's with all the "omg soccer suxx american football ftw" comments? Do you really have to wear your insecurity complex on your sleeve?
- Jkins019, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2"He discovered that 41 of them had suffered lingering deaths since 1973", It appears that these players suffer from IDS, Imminent Death Syndrome. In most cases this lasts anywhere from 70-100 years.
- agostajuve, on 11/10/2008, -1/+3you're a *****
- Jkins019, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2I don't think I'm ready to see that.
- Pixelante, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2Envious much? Those guys get more money in one week than you will ever see in your lifetime. Soccer players live lives of luxury while university grads have to flip burgers because there are no jobs for them. I can understand your frustration and anger, but sorry for you, things are not going to change.
- Search153, on 11/10/2008, -2/+4Zidane headbutt?
- MikeyBillz, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2I wonder what "society" Karlitzor is from....if Italian society is in the *****, then perhaps you're denying the cultural validity or the Italian renaissance, Opera, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, high fashion, Ancient Rome, Venice, Florence, Mario & Luigi, Monica Bellucci....if only Italy could be as cultured as the USA, with their fine cuisine, great standards of living and healthy diet...
- brotherfranciz, on 11/11/2008, -0/+2Who are you calling pansies?
American Football is the only sport in the world where you need to wear full body armor. - MikeyBillz, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2Yeah, you actually use your feet in it....unlike American football, where one guy on the whole team kicks the ball...
- ewsherm, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1Sounds like a job for House!
- andrew456, on 11/10/2008, -1/+2genius.
Don't think many people get the joke though... - solid12345, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1Italians are always looking for an excuse not to go out on the field and do their duty, they did it in World War 1 and World War 2, and now this.
- philz, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1dugg for thinking what i was thinking and saying what i was gonna say.
- MikeyBillz, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1I thought those were the rules of American football....isn't that why they wear helmets?
- MikeyBillz, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1What kind of a ***** up thing is that to say? Apparently, you are intimidated by the ultra-sexiness of Italians.
- senseilmno, on 11/10/2008, -2/+3maybe its from all the diving......
