- sheeplescareme, on 04/16/2009, -4/+41it was flipping beautiful -

- wannarto, on 04/17/2009, -7/+23He thinks he is the greatest player on earth. But the thing I hate most is : he is right.
- AmericanGunner, on 04/16/2009, -5/+20That was a remarkable strike. Hope to see none of it in the semis....
- Stonekeeper, on 04/17/2009, -3/+15Regardless of club loyalties, it was one sweet goal that anyone would be proud of:
http://www.soccerclips.net/en/videos/fc-porto-0-1- ... - Wubsy, on 04/17/2009, -3/+13Walcott's goal was also fantastic. That backheel from Fabregas was brilliant.
- jakash, on 04/17/2009, -4/+13It was a brilliant goal, but personally I preferred that amazing free-kick against Portsmouth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-DjTdND53o&#t= ...
- stoitofardo, on 04/17/2009, -2/+11Quite a goal indeed, i just wish he scored more goals like that while playing for Portugal.
- avaris15, on 04/17/2009, -2/+11This is what annoys me. Arsenal scored three great goals that night, but because they weren't 40yd screamers by Ronaldo, they don't get any press.
Eboue's sprint down the right, Fabregas' back heel, Walcott's deft chip over the keeper. Wonderful stuff! More of that please Gunners! - tnatharik, on 04/17/2009, -0/+7He fits bruno character more.
- shamos, on 04/17/2009, -1/+7apart from the fact it's the most popular team in the world for about ten years running?
wtf are you talking about? - Threlly1, on 04/17/2009, -0/+6I hope Arsenal go on to win the Competition.
If not, then Barcelona.
Oh yeah, and ***** that racist Michel Platini. - GMadness1, on 04/17/2009, -7/+12You have to have some kind of balls - and log strength too, I suppose - to even so much as try that shot, much less be able to pull it off on the move. Guy's a beast.
-G- - dsmx, on 04/17/2009, -1/+5Man U are still more english than arsenal, chelsea and liverpool.
- MOJIRA, on 04/17/2009, -1/+5That was pretty nice, but I noticed during the last World Cup that the Germans generally strike from that distance fairly often (with devastating results usually).
- benmandude, on 04/17/2009, -1/+5That is one hell of a rip, I can't believe the accuracy on a shot like that. Just goes to show you why these players are paid so much.
- BalancingAct, on 04/17/2009, -0/+4Who are the Yankees?
- avaris15, on 04/17/2009, -0/+4Yes, same here. Two good footballing teams. I'd be happy to see either win.
- avaris15, on 04/17/2009, -7/+11Awesome goal. Doesn't make him any less of an arrogant ***** though!
None of that ***** in the semi's though please, Cris! - amauldin71, on 04/17/2009, -5/+9Ya don't save those!
- dsmx, on 04/17/2009, -1/+4Except none of arsenal goals were 40 yard screamers that went to the opposite corner of the goal.
- 1gunners4, on 04/17/2009, -0/+3I completely agree with you; judging from past clashes, though, Fabs and Ronaldo tend to cancel one another out.
- rodrigo74, on 04/17/2009, -1/+3The one by Ronaldinho Gaucho against England on the 2002 World Cup is the freakiest of them all: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y70aJn7fb9Q
- cteven, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2" I've just seen the replay and I didn't realise it was 40 yards out and I hit it at 65mph - wow!"
- 1gunners4, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2"The only reason it is being celebrated so much Is because of it's distance"
Most any international striker would take the accuracy of that shot from 18 yards out, much less 38. - zmigliozzi, on 04/19/2009, -0/+240yds out, opposite foot 64mph power shot to the far post upper 90, ya I'll have to agree with him. Best goal in champions league this year.
- loconet, on 04/17/2009, -4/+6That was a great goal. Too bad he's still a douche.
- gojcaj, on 04/17/2009, -0/+290 degree angle. Also known as a corner.
- nickkuk, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2it reminds me of Leon Osmans goal against AC Larissa in the UEFA cup last season:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBruzHqrLIg
In both cases the keeper has absolutely no chance. - 1gunners4, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2dsmx:
I'd say that Ade's from the first leg was as impressive as Ronaldo's.
Wubsy:
Shearer looks like he's settled on the formation (4-4-2) and the lineup (Andy Carrol with Owen up top, no Colicini) that will see them safe. The Toon looked impressive in the last twenty minutes of that Stoke game. - Ruch182, on 04/24/2009, -0/+2ever thought that he said that maybe to motivate him?
- Ruch182, on 04/24/2009, -0/+2so you see 40 yard top corner goals in hugely important matches ever few games?
- thinboyslim, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1hahaha dugg right down and its only bloody well come true!!!
- getbetlet, on 05/07/2009, -0/+1Indeed, it was a beauty. A powerful goal by a great footballer.
- jj101, on 04/17/2009, -0/+1I think means top bins (as in the 90 degree corner). Never heard it myself either. Must be some american terminology.
- Wubsy, on 04/17/2009, -1/+2Don't care about the Champions League, all I'm worrying about is Newcastle staying up.
- 1gunners4, on 04/17/2009, -0/+1Arsenal is making the attempt, at least; we have Walcott and Kieren Gibbs (who really deserves a lot of praise for his stand-in performance Wednesday) coming into their own, and Wenger is actively recruiting in England, now.
- 1gunners4, on 04/17/2009, -0/+1That's such an amazing strike.
- extrafootie, on 04/21/2009, -0/+1What about Adebayor's vs Villareal?
Surely that has to be a contender, purely for the technique?
www.extrafootie.co.uk/beta - damack, on 04/18/2009, -0/+1It wasn't really the strenght or power. Anybody can kick a ball hard it's just the further away you kick it from the harder it is to get the trajectory right.
From the distance he scored it it was ludicrously well targeted and quite unbelieveable that it kept that constant trajectory and hit the back of the net.
I honestly wonder if he even meant to score it was that damn good. - grofgrof, on 05/09/2009, -0/+0Even Ronaldo got it wrong. His second goal of the match was even better. Starting it with a fancy back heal pass to Park and then sprinting for almost 70 m in the anticipation of his team mates perfect action and pass. And all three of them had a world class defender on them! Rooney's ground pass with 0 bounce was beauty, too. This goal really shows young kids what football is all about - team play, never give up and individual brilliance.
- maspigih, on 04/22/2009, -0/+0CR7 I Like it!!!!
- costas1234, on 04/19/2009, -0/+0That was the best goal of the season. Though I think that Porto goal keeper was not at his best that day. Looking forward to the semi-finals. I think that Manchester United have a great chance of going on and winning this tournament now. Barcelona vs Chelsea interesting, though I can see Barcelona through Messi slightly edging Chelsea, and the similar story is likely to be written at Man Utd vs Arsenal with the former most likely to go through.
- saucy05, on 04/17/2009, -2/+2The most arrogant mofo to grace the pitch in footballs history. You can tell even his teammates don't like him, they are just glad he is not in the opposition team.
A question posed to Rolando "who is the best player ever" guess what his answer was? ofcourse "me" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ms6DkKT7ThE
This guys needs a humbling experience in his career to get to the next level, because obviously his parents haven't instilled any in him. - carlingford, on 04/17/2009, -0/+0I know you wish he was
- acbedrooms, on 05/30/2009, -0/+0class goal i must agree www.acbedrooms.co.uk
- ampdj89, on 04/17/2009, -0/+0That's for Ferguson's face, after telling him he was not trying hard enough and kept giving away goals.
