People know how good he is and they know he will bite if they provoke so they go in a little stronger - look at the incident the other week where he kicked out at the defender but didn't get sent off. On it's own that sounds like he was been a ***** - then when you watched the team at the studio showing the build up to it - where he had been fouled 5 times in about 10 minutes by the same guy - you know see why he did it. I'm not saying he was right to kick out - but the other guy got sent off for a crazy tackle on him after already been booked. In that match Stoke got 4 bookings and a red card - 3 of them were against ronaldo - but all that the papers printed the next day were how he could have been sent off for kicking out.

I don't much like his "American attitude", loud and self loving, but I guess it comes with the territory.
Yes I said "American attitude", for most of you in the USA, who complain about his narcissistic attitude, the rest of the world sees that as an American attitude, just look at your own "stars" and you see that type of attitude from mediocre "stars" on a daily basis, so he been awarded the best and recognised as such by most of his peers at this time, he has the right to act that way. - djpray2k, on 01/13/2009, -0/+6Man-U are way over powered in that game anyway. He doesn't owe Man U fans anything - they buy shirts with his name on it because he is the best player in the squad and the best player in the world. His talent belongs to himself and if he wants to move- good on him. I can't really understand why anyone would leave United though - clearly the best team in the world and only getting better.

They should take these into account when attributing those points.
