- Jpantoga, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16I wish soccer was appreciated in America as much as it is in Europe and the rest of the world. I feel that if people would open up to a sport that doesn't involve massive amounts of pads or jock straps, our disconnection from the world might lessen...
- kevdotbadger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Need to get some cash back from purchasing Shevchenko eh?
- oblongmouth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9rhfb - you obviously know ***** ALL about football.
Nobody calls Manchester United 'Manchester' - there are 2 teams in Manchester for a start, 3 if you count FC United.
Also, nobody in their right mind (with the exception of Chelsea fans) that has been watching football for more than the past 2 seasons wants Chelsea to win the league, or 'pass Manchester'.
Even Liverpool and Arsenal fans grudgingly want Utd to beat Chelsea to the title, because of the way Chelsea have gone about winning their last 2 titles - through outlandish spending & boring football.
But, on topic - I think this is great news if they actually show some interesting content, be it highlights of games, articles on the history of the club or interviews with players. It would be brilliant if a few more teams do this (Man Utd in particular) - oblongmouth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8"I wish soccer was appreciated in America as much as it is in Europe and the rest of the world. I'd like it if America embraced football (the real one, where the ball is kicked with the foot most of the time, not thrown), because I truly think the country is missing out on something - its pretty much the only global game, you can go anywhere in the world with a football & enjoy a game.
But on the other hand, the Americanisation of the sport would be terrible, i mean NFL/CFL are the worst sports in the world to watch at the ground, every 2 bastard minutes some frigger walks on with a competition or some such useless crap - but watching highlights on TV is much better. - albi123, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7This is cool I hope more teams do this since I don't really like Chelsea. (Arsenal owns)
- mobbo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5It's so hard to watch EPL, UEFA, etc football here in the states. I'm starting to love the MLS, especially now that the clubs are competing in CONCACAF and the USMNT has a great schedule coming up... but I want to be able to watch my Euro teams too, not just a handful of games a month.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Honestly, like oblongmouth noted further up, what real Red Devils fan calls it Manchester? I'm an American and even I know better than that.
- Mandeep, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5With as much money as he has at his side, I bet I could do the same amount of things he has.
- allaboutdatiki, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Chelsea? Blah ... how about Harchester United TV? (j/k)
Cool idea, tho. It will take off.
When will we get Premiere League and La Liga games in HD here in the States? - lukychmz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4yaay Im going there to see schevchenko lol score lots of goals....should be seeing videos all night long............cough cough
- readyman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3this is the exact reason why google picked up youtube.
- potdarko, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Enjoy it.. while the great Mourinho is there ;)
- RonAcierno, on 02/07/2008, -0/+3I would like entire sports leagues to do this ...
all NFL, NBA, MLB, all the Soccer(Futball) leagues .... id pay 5-10 bucks a month for that .... - IllBeBack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Hmmm, will the quality of their videos be as crappy as everything else on YouTube? I would much rather watch football on a big HDTV.
- ScottyTee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Why link from a digg site to another digg-like site... pointless.. how many barriers until the real content.
- SpoonerMcgavin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@nixonrichard
no offence brother, but even Canadians think baseball is boring. soccer is the world sport imho because it was the first sport, or one of, and all you need is a ball (so even the poorest of the poor can find SOMETHING to kick). I used to despise Beckham, but with him joining team LA, this might finally be the beginnings of a NA awakening to the greatest sport ever.
btw, LIVERPOOOOOOOOOOOL - AceSuperfly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3http://www.youtube.com/chelseafc
- buryyourhead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I was down in the Bahamas in November and my cousins and I were watching Man U. vs. Celtic. 2 guys from Liverpool came about 30 minutes in. My cousin Brad is a huge United fan so he was a little disheartened when the 2 brits were rejoicing in United's loss lol
- loganhuddleston, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2yea fox soccer report did a piece of it earlier tonight on fox soccer channel. pretty cool, but i think they said something like youtube cant use the videos or something on youtube.com. i dont know some weird copyright agreement.
- talool, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4this is great, now the whole world can watch chelsea attempt to get back the title and fail, excellent!
enjoy ur clips chelski fans, we'll enjoy the trophy!
GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED! UNITED LEADS THE WAY!!!!! - Carlsb3rg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Dugg cuz its football.. and definitely not for Chelski.
- mflat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2LOL. Too right! Sheva + Ballack, biggest waste of money ever. Shows that money can't buy success! YNWA. Come on you reds!
- jhaitas, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5***** Chelski!!!
When Abromavich goes to jail you'll all be *****!!!
how bout a story detailing how Chelski is financed by money stolen from the Russian people... Does anyone care about that??
if you digg me down i guess the answer is no... - theoverlord, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2i'd rather not pay for MUTV and still be able to watch the clips on youtube and let the youtube ads pay for it instead. besides not everyone can get MUTV, it just got offered in HK a few months back as I recall
- iain76, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I doubt that they will show highlights of games. I am sure sky tv wouoldn't allow it.
Also There are still plenty of liverpool fans who don't want UTD to win and would prefer Chelsea to win than the scum!!!!! - gregduh, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2church
- inactive, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1Only the greatest team will do.

- brainxs, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Dugg that. I've heard about this month ago, but I can't remember where exactly.
- rhfb, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5I just hope Chelsea can come back and pass Manchester for the league title.
- SpoonerMcgavin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1one day, ohh one day, Liverpool will have it's revenge.
The carling cup thing I didn't mind, but the FA too? .. and back to back? That hurt. - mydave, on 07/26/2008, -0/+0Chelsey? bluh? I didn't like this theam.

- InarguableTruth, on 10/31/2007, -0/+0Swing and a miss. Same goes for the current season. Chelski are *****.
- brosen, on 06/16/2009, -0/+0Guys I'm so pumped for the Chelsea vs. Inter game at the Rose Bowl!!! Go Blues!!!! Let's get a lot of Blues fans out to the game. Here's the link to the facebook event: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=65139069110
- mustard141, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0oblongmouth, you are really, really, reeeeeallllly ***** annoying. You are not English. You are an American. Speak like one, and not some whiny little fag. Americans spell it "Americanization." FOOTBALL in BOTH its forms are good sports. Aussie Rules Football is more like rugby, but no one bitches about them calling it football. No one bitches about Canadian football, either. So all in all, you whiny insignificant bastard, shut your mouth and move to England until a couple years from now, when the U-20 team becomes the senior team. Then we'll be winning (more) championships, progress further in the World Cup, and your little faggoty ass can move back to the US. Okay?
And yes, I called it SOCCER.
SOCCER SOCCER SOCCER. - InarguableTruth, on 10/31/2007, -0/+0In fact, I'm sure someone who knows so much football like you could do that without the money.
- mustard141, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Hear hear brother.
- crazynuj, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1The NHL puts 4-5 minute highlights on youtube, i think the channel is nhlvideo. They have all the goals, hard checks, and good saves. Not as good as watching the whole thing (for a hockey fan), but great too see ovechkin's latest highlight reel goal
- RockTheWall, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Try a cable package.
- realgoat21, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0once again, chelski goes for the marketing
too bad they dont have the team to back it up - maka25, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3yeah....umm.... that's nice in all... but uhh.... I'd rather just watch MUTV! GO MANCHESTER!!!
- bobbySR, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0While I do not have an excessive love for Chelsea (I am an MU fan myself, but I like Henry and Gerrard best, along with Rooney), I have to say that they came with a great idea. I mean, it is not about the money as it is about giving the fans what they want. You cannot say that MU doesn't have money or that Liverpool was bought by someone begging at the corner of the street.
I just hope we will have the option of watching as many matches as possible (or at least the goals, as soon as they are scored), from work. :D I remember having to be SMS-ed to know the results 5 years ago, when the World Cup was in Japan, because I was at work then :P - Sonyman25, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2thataboy CHELSEA!!! You rule

Or, Europe could appreciate baseball as much as the US and the rest of the world. Baseball is incredibly popular in the western hemisphere and east asia. As far as bringing us closer to the rest of the world, since when does soccer engender respect, appreciation, and togetherness?
