- surindravg, on 11/03/2009, -5/+46"The court heard that a silver bicycle had previously been taken from the 14-year-old boy."
***** stole his bike! - tryshalosh, on 11/02/2009, -0/+32He meant to stab him in the chest?
- Nevasleep88, on 11/03/2009, -0/+27Everybody makes mistakes, give him a chance, I'm sure he will stab the right kid next time.
- WayOfWolf, on 11/03/2009, -1/+21Judge: "Whoops, I've accidentally sentenced you to life without parole. My bad."
- TrevorBelmont, on 11/03/2009, -2/+21Read the article. It'll clear it right up.
- yocouchdigga, on 11/03/2009, -1/+20So beware of Hackney... there are black people there, they'll stab your neck? Noted.
- srs2000, on 11/03/2009, -4/+19The UK needs to figure out SOMETHING.
All the laws they can think of wont change their knife crime problem.. as they should have seen.
All the cameras on Earth wouldn't change their knife crime problem... as they also should have seen.
Try being tough on actual criminals and not charging law abiding citizens who protect themselves/family/property with assault/murder/etc when they stand up for once. Stop treating your citizens like they are criminals. Nonstop monitoring doesn't prevent crime. Empower the people... and pssst.. when you banned guns.. your gun crime went up. - gankige, on 11/03/2009, -1/+12"Oh *****... My bad."
No worries, then, he's been unstabbed. - yocouchdigga, on 11/03/2009, -0/+10So you start with "***** you"...
way to represent. - Myztry, on 11/03/2009, -0/+9By accidentally carrying a knife and accidentally wielding it in an argument.
- chriscalifornia, on 11/03/2009, -1/+10by accident
- yocouchdigga, on 11/03/2009, -0/+9Is that bad?
- Xaevier, on 11/03/2009, -0/+8"I swear officer I only meant to stab him in the face!"
- elliotys, on 11/03/2009, -0/+8Damn, what a tragic story, but did anyone else think that article was written by a 5th grader?
- Titan7771, on 11/03/2009, -1/+8Why is it necessary to mention that the victim was a footballer in the headline?
- opticwind, on 11/03/2009, -0/+7What did the black kid get for christmas?
Your bike. - elliotys, on 11/03/2009, -6/+13WTF does Race have to do with any of this?
- 4rp4n3t, on 11/03/2009, -1/+7"I live there and is full of black people"
And Indian people. And Asian people. And Australians. And even English people. What's your point? - elliotys, on 11/03/2009, -0/+6Once you nick that jugular, which is suprisingly easy to do, it's over quickly unless they get them to the hospital. It's happened in hockey a couple times.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPVgvtPIzfc - gnarnia, on 11/03/2009, -1/+6at the same time??!
- Myztry, on 11/03/2009, -0/+5Australia also has banned guns and the violent crime rate is less than New Zealand which is a quarter of the U.S.
http://www.beehive.govt.nz/release/international+v ... - Crimeodial, on 11/03/2009, -0/+4That goalie was fine though, he left the hospital the next day and was back on the ice a few days later.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clint_Malarchuk#Throa ... - stuffradio, on 11/03/2009, -0/+4I accidentally the neck.
- imkookoo, on 11/03/2009, -1/+5Some of the comments in this page is a good example of how racism manifests itself still today.
People see a picture of a black guy, see the headline "Boy killed footballer by mistake" and maybe briefly skim over the article, and then conclude that either it was the black guy who did the stabbing, or it was him who stole the bike and thus got stabbed [Or, everybody involved was black]
According to the article, it was NEITHER, and the race of the stabber and the kid who stole the bike was not mentioned. Jahmal was just WITH the kid with the knife, and he tried to stopped the altercation, but accidentally got stabbed by his friend when he waved the knife around in an effort to scare the other kid who stole the bike. - elliotys, on 11/03/2009, -0/+4Thanks for proving yourself wrong in your comment. As you clearly point out, crime is directly related to poverty. If the town was full of poor white people there would be the same amount of crime. So really, as you helped me to point out, race has nothing to do with it, but rather the crime is a function of the poverty/lack of opportunity.
- Sail3, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3Whoopsy stabby!
- diemunkiesdie, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3Rizzo2008, you obviously did not read. He was waving the knife wildly and over swung, thereby cutting his friend.
- Ghostwo, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2dont be mad, but I accidentally your neck.
- testore, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2They should start a gun for knife program. That should surely end the knife problem.
- Amadeus2490, on 11/03/2009, -1/+3And you, her and 17 other people were all in a clown car while this was happening.
- Myztry, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2I have to say I like living on a single country continent and find all the idea that people living on the same soil across a deemed border quite strange. Can't imagine living with all that paranoia.
Even travelling from Australia to New Zealand is a non fuss affair. Present your Australian passport and you basically just get waved through the metal detector/luggage xray.

- guitmusic11, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1The number of stabbings in London is actually really sad. They had over a hundred stabbings last year. It's a serious problem.
- mrpunman, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1The whole thing???
- elliotys, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1dude. . .really? You post that under THIS story?
- Whatasillyhat, on 11/05/2009, -0/+1YOU Sir, are missing the point. There is virtually no gun crime in England, and it's almost non-existent in non-urban areas, that includes the firearms owned legally by rural farm type. We do not want your ***** over here.
- guitmusic11, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1whoopsy stabby
(SMBC) - Skinner72, on 11/10/2009, -0/+1This phenomena is not unique to London. The US has a high rate of black on black crime as well. I feel this is a socioeconomic thing though, rather than a black thing.
- guitmusic11, on 11/03/2009, -1/+2Here be dragons
- yocouchdigga, on 11/03/2009, -1/+2"accident"

- tradeplumbing, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1"He ran into my knife. He ran into my knife 10 times..."
- yaosio, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1Only in the UK can you stab somebody and say it was an accident and get away with it.
- AmazingSteve, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1FTA: "The boy took out a flick knife and began waving it around to frighten the youth but accidentally severed Jahmal's artery.
Jahmal died "almost instantly" despite help from police and an air ambulance, the court was told."
Died almost instantly? Not ***** likely, more like he spent 60 to 90 seconds in abject horror as he bled out right there and then. - opticwind, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1Wait, that's it?
You guys are lucky. - 4rp4n3t, on 11/03/2009, -1/+2Not the way you play it
