- AshevilleRaised, on 01/06/2008, -0/+2I recently had this problem with yahoo as well. I had canceled my service with them, only to be charged two days later.

"I think I found how they so easily snagged your credit card info:

When you become a paying subscriber, you also sign up for Yahoo! Wallet, a service that securely stores your credit card, billing, and shipping information so you don't ever have to type it in again. It makes shopping online safer, easier, and faster.
Yahoo! Wallet makes it easy for us to auto-renew your subscription. If you cancel your subscription then decide to re-instate it, you won't need to re-enter your information because Yahoo! Wallet stores it for you! It is important that you keep the information stored in your Yahoo! Wallet up to date."
Yahoo rape my wallet®. I dare them to explain, how storing information on their databases makes it safer? - michaelpinto, on 01/06/2008, -0/+1I hate where Yahoo! is going or where it isn't going. The new Yahoo! email won't work with Safari - so as I move between Windows and Mac I just got tired and reset it to the old version (which runs faster). Then the latest update of MyYahoo! didn't add any real benefits, so I switched back on that as well. Yahoo! Groups was my free organizing tool of choice during the election season of 2004 - these days my friends are using Facebook, Google tools and BaseCamp. The only thing they seem to do right is Flickr, if I were Yahoo! I'd promote that team to run the company...
- Error601, on 01/06/2008, -0/+1Why would you expect the company not to use a common customer database and why wouldn't you cancel the subscription? If they really won't refund the money, call the bank and do a chargeback. They have to then justify the charge to the bank.
