- nullcodes, on 10/11/2007, -0/+71If someone made a virus that asks the user to give it admin privileges, click through multiple anti virus warnings, add some hex values into the registry, reboot, and then manually type a 20 line DOS script into a batch file. There will still be people getting infected.
- Slovenian6474, on 10/11/2007, -2/+53I wouldn't run bittorrent.exe. It sounds like it's a virus. Plus, it might mess up one of my 37 processes title windows.exe and thisIsNotAVirus.exe. Now if you'll excuse me, i'm going to do some searching with google.exe
- fucter, on 10/11/2007, -6/+50This worm is stupid, what percentage of people are running the bittorrent.exe and not azureus or µtorrent?
- Hortnon, on 10/11/2007, -1/+39Surprisingly, a lot. Mostly people that are new to the idea of bittorrent.
- s33k4, on 10/11/2007, -4/+32Don't download the brown acid, man!
- DiggzDE, on 10/11/2007, -0/+27DON'T!!!! There are females out there!!!
- sockpuppets, on 10/11/2007, -2/+24"The user, W32/Rtard-E, is an unsophisticated human with uni-lingual support that can ineffectively protect itself, infect and send other, rival humans present on the intarweb, and utilize BitTorrent in achieving that stupidity."
Huh. The more you know! - relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -6/+28This is gay, I'm going outside.
- CrudoMacDoogle, on 10/11/2007, -4/+23Yeah i guess it wouldn't matter anyway as you wouldn't be able to use 97% of the software that was on BT anyway
- FiP0, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16more on that :

:) - Uranium118, on 10/11/2007, -3/+14Shut up already, why do you fanboys always have to bring up the Mac argument?
Should I spam "GO WINDOWS" in every game related news too? - DiggzDE, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12Isn't reason #1: "Because you're are an trendwhore, artzy, wannabe techy."????
- Dhalgren, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Watch out for the evil ball of flame
- Slovenian6474, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10I'm smart enough to not download this. No mac necessary.
- nate488, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10Reason #1 NOT to get a mac: because I like being heterosexual
- xptweakerntn, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11AHHH....How I miss the days of worrying about viruses, attack my Feisty box!
(Hmm..anyone got a link to the virus?) - DiggzDE, on 10/11/2007, -5/+13Yeah, that way you can do nothing of value and just enjoy your little ***** applications and programs like imovie and garageband.
- tech42er, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9That would be an interesting experiment to try.
- lengau, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8The DayStar?
- DiggzDE, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7Just like the other 100 Mac ghays around here.
- Ch3n3yTh3D1ck, on 10/11/2007, -3/+9Reason #8,013 you are a fag
- Skooma714, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I thought this was some joke about Vista piracy from the description.
- kingygk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Wow! Its a good thing I am not downloading any more porn! :)
- paulmike3, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4sigh. new comment system FTL.
- Uranium118, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4That's the point, do you see how freaking ANNOYING IT IS?!
- TheSeraph, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4did you really think you'd be original with your comment? honestly...
- lengau, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Shut up already, why do you fanboys always have to bring up the $fanboyArgument argument?
Should I spam "GO $fanboyAntiOS" in every $fanboyOSweakness related news too? - Bob042, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Seems like it could just as easily be titled "Windows Worm Uses Internet to Propogate" really...
- DiggzDE, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5So did you even read the article? Try adding to your vocabulary by learning the phrase "in addition to".
- timo1023, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4i don't think you have to run it frequently, you just have to have it installed, as i'm sure thousands of people do, and you don't have to be running bittorrent to receive it.
i think this is pretty cool. - DiggzDE, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Yes. I read the summary. Then I read the article. Most people who submit things on Digg are idiots. You have to expect it from them.
- CBTF, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3So glad I saved money and have a free virus scanner. OSX isn't the only option, you know.
- GenVoss, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3What I don't understand is after the worm starts to seed a corrupt torrent, how does that affect the people who download it? Would they have to be suckered into installing it, or would it automatically install?
- DestroyFascism, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2People always get in through windows.......
- positron, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Evil ball of flame? But this year's gay pride festival is already over.
- lengau, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Not really ( http://www.patrick.fremont.ca.us/media/linux/ ).
- BallzDEEP, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3So are women... someday you will have to pick between the two.
- Uranium118, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5Shut up already, why do you fanboys always have to bring up the Mac argument?
Should I spam "GO WINDOWS" in every game related news too? - CBTF, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3That's nice, now shut up. :)
- skyshock1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I don't know about that, but CERTAINLY another reason to NOT use Windows. If OSX is your thing cool, but there are other alternatives as well.
- joklem, on 10/11/2007, -4/+5I'll take my viruses over your console any day of the week.
- superyounan1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1yeah, lots of people dont understand bittorent is a protocol, not a program, although there is a program with the same name... so they go online and find bittorent.exe. but yeah, have a friend that uses it, but i almost never see bittorrent.exe connected peers when i download anything
- shaunhey, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Damn, you beat me to it :)
- superyounan1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1yeah, i read it as: "...spread itself over (IM applications, like AIM and Windows Live Messenger,) and …( BitTorrent.)"
not :" ...spread itself over (IM applications, like AIM and Windows Live Messenger, and … BitTorrent)." - ilgaz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1As far as I know, bittorrent official client and uTorrent is banned from trackers. Their IP range too. Story validates that decision.
Get Java and Azureus, at least it is open source (V3 too!) - superyounan1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1what does FTL mean?
- ilgaz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1By writing such comments you are inviting script kiddies to Mac platform we use.
- noerrorsfound, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Try running it in Wine. I wonder if they'd accept the bugs as valid if it didn't run.

- ilgaz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1My bet is on MPAA/RIAA. Yes, you know what I speak about.
