- maninblac1, on 10/10/2007, -2/+134First things first, obviously the site is a fake for a handful of reasons.
First, WAY to dangerous for a person of axxo's clout to run his own website hosting his own torrents. That's like putting a big neon sign on yourself.
Second, the site has references to anime and manga, gaming etc, a general interest kind of feel, which is not what aXXo is, "he" has never released any anime or manga torrents, nor would "he". Anime releases have their own way of doing things way different than the scene.
Third, while it's smart to protect your whois inforation as was done (whoisgaurd, which appears to be run by namecheap), not much can get gathered out of that, it's works both ways in my opinion.
IP for the websever is 68.178.254.12, which is hosted in scottsdale arizon (anyone know anything i don't?)

1. The site is built using Joomla 1.5 (which is semi recent)
2. The site is using the Firenzie template, which is created by the Rocket Theme people
3. The site designer/admin hasn't bothered changing the link at the bottom (which still links to the Rocket Theme website), although they did change the logo to show "axxorelease.com" logo instead.
My deduction from those 3 points? The person who built the site is smart enough to figure out how to setup a Joomla site (not hard these days), not smart enough to create their own template or design, and definitely not smart enough to change a link in the template.

For the person to download these torrents, they must voluntarily visit a torrent site and search for the particular movie. If you are visiting torrent sites and searching for a copyrighted movie, then you already had intentions. They may have been tricked, but it is certainly not entrapment.
