      This only works if you are set up as a DHCP client through your ISP. If you have a static IP you are out of luck.

Alternatively, you can turn off your modem for a certain amount of time or call in and have them release it for you. On Bright House or Road Runner, you only need to power off/power on your modem after you change your MAC address to have it acquire a different address (although there's a chance it will still get the same one regardless). I imagine there are also other ISPs out there where none of this would work.
