- foxsynergy, on 10/12/2007, -16/+57No real man wouldn't want an e-mail addy with "CIA" in the domain name. :)
- BitBurner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+37You can use telnet to send a anonymous message with whatever return address you want. I sent my friend an email from Bill Gates one time asking him to come to work for M$. That was years ago. But it freaked him out.
- mandarin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+35That didnt sound right....
- jocnnor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+34Telnet works just fine if you know smtp

- ddfall, on 10/12/2007, -11/+37The real test is to see if this thing gets dugg up high enough, I'm curious to see if these guys have a decent enough server / connection to keep from getting killed from the digg effect. :) Here's hoping to see a 'page cannot be found...'

- Ricapar, on 10/12/2007, -7/+22You can still screw with him if you want. All you need is a server and a simple PHP script.
- roastedbagel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Haha it's down now. It's not a good sign when an ISP's own homepage gets the Digg affect.
- mr.hostility, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17george.tenent@cia.com
- deanlowe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Well, they do call it "the company".

- cosequin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10I'm waiting for free web hosting on a .gov or .edu website. Think of the seo possibilites!
Someone actually hacked a .gov site recently and sold ftp access to it on ebay:

Here's the actual auction:
SEO Parasitic Hosting - .gov domain!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270048740551 - algorythm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9they dont use @cia.gov for email anyway.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I already have a Dept. of Defence tag on my car...that's > enough
- jer.williams, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6They require a matching mailing address and phone number. They're giving you a free email address, but they could make $10 selling your contact info.
- Conwaysb0718, on 10/12/2007, -8/+14good lord that's an ugly model on the front page.
- cstrippie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5We've gotten a virus report from one user already, demands from the company for real contact info, and when I visited the site (with NoScript enabled), I got the following:

- pirana0, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Well, I got me a classic.
Deepthroat@cia.com - streetstealth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4This isn't about writing "hey, this email is from teh CIA!!1" ; it's about:
"So what's your e-mail address?"
"Agent_67012@cia.com"
"Oh." - stevievep, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4This is going to be *really* effective oh until someone decides to go to www.cia.com and see for him/herself what's up.
- Visk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"they dont use @cia.gov for email anyway."
No one knows that.....you're not even supposed to know that...I'm onto you.... - danielgilbert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4ihackedthecia@cia.com :D

- astrotrain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Oooh my email at @navyseals.com..... lame... not dug.
- OhJay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@thebra
Yes, everyone can. Not everyone knows how to do it, mind you, but that doesn't mean that they can't spoof an address should they want to (and investigate how). It doesn't take anything special software-wise and every single email client on the planet can be used for spoofing (if the receiving SMTP-server accepts the mail). - l4wl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Who would actually use their real address?
