- shmee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Are you a moron? Theplanet.com is a datacenter... THEY HOST SERVERS! hahaha
An address to a datacenter full of thousands of sites.. - zweben, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"My advice is stop making jokes. And start getting worried"
Wow, great advice there. It might as well say "Ok.. 1, 2, 3, PANIC!"
Right now i'm putting my money on it being a marketing scheme. I mean, they have the whole logo made up, and the whole thing just reeks of something being overly cryptic and dramatic for the sake of drawing attention. (It kind of reminds me of the Lost website)
If it turns out not to be a marketing thing, then the next most likely thing is probably that it's a bunch of stupid hackers who think they're going to crush the internet, when in reality they're just going to slow it down (at best) and get warrants out for their arrest. - Artifez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://www.answers.com/topic/theplanet-com-internet-services-inc
It's a huge host, there's going to be some unsavory stuff on there. Some people will crap themselves over anything. - blitzboy07, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Now I can sleep sound at night knowing we're onto eon8 AND Scientology.
- zeabrid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2E on 8 is over.
"{eon8} Complete
As of July 1st, 2006, the E8 Project has been hacked.
The purpose of this project was to determine the reactions of the internet public to lack of information." - Daisuke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1 what you said earlier seems to be the case for me, and that's about it. I don't know what you're talking about. o_O
- zeabrid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The ***** page is changing every second.
- Daisuke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1One problem, however. If you reverse DNS an IP address and _all_ that comes back is their datacenter, something might be wrong, simply because you'd think more sites would be in a datacenter than one. I dunno, just MHO.
- Artifez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Snarking is like masturbating, only you benefit.
- DarthFredd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm with socraticchrist on this one. Seldom do you WHOIS someone's IP and it turns up that person's address. Very few individuals directly own their own IPs: at the very best, they own them indirectly through a company like Earthlink (or in this case, ThePlanet.com).
- Cynical825, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Haha I'm hosted (indirectly) by The Planet as well, am I a terrorist too? :P
- stoops, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Dugg only because I just did the same research (from scratch) as this person did and got the same results which is a bit scary :S
