- TobiasParker, on 10/09/2009, -3/+74***** you.
- Marinesniper, on 10/09/2009, -0/+71IN SOVIET RUSSIA...
wait... - Fivefeetunder, on 10/09/2009, -4/+67Welcome to the Total Surveillance State that elevates spies and informants into heroes.
A nice place to live for sheep and cattle. - JackSchittt, on 10/09/2009, -3/+58Why bother?
One of three things will happen.
1) The government will win, and no information on the illegal activities will ever be given out.
2) The EFF will eventually win. The courts will order the government to turn over the documents. Those orders will simply be ignored. Contempt of court charges will be filed, which will also lead nowhere. Eventually, everyone involved will simply give up.
3) The EFF will eventually win. The courts will order the government to turn over the doucments. The government will turn over the documents, with 98% of it covered in black marker. The EFF will scream bloody murder, and the government will play the "National Security" and "Protect us from teh evilllll terrrrrorrrrristssss" cards, and the courts will back off. - z0rk, on 10/09/2009, -2/+57How's the transparency Obama spoke about working now?
- V3n0M, on 10/09/2009, -5/+46What isn't these days??
- sodade, on 10/09/2009, -1/+41Boycott them!!!
Oh, wait. *****. - boogerthecat, on 10/09/2009, -1/+39>>Telephone Company is Arm of Govt, Feds Admit in Spy Suit
I've told you that for years BUT NO, you digg me down - TobiasParker, on 10/09/2009, -2/+39Upon further reading your profile I have discovered that you are not even a real person and I have been trolled. Very nice. No real person could possibly have your opinions.
- UberNick, on 10/09/2009, -0/+36And we've always been at war with Eurasia
- Hetman, on 10/09/2009, -6/+35How the hell is Yassar arafat going to fix this. He died like 5 years ago.
- obsessedglobe, on 10/09/2009, -2/+27It would be more fun if the government started butting into conversations, injecting a comment or two; hilarity would ensue.
- Barackalypse, on 10/09/2009, -3/+23Too bad the bureaucrats and politicians that are responsible for this policy won't ever be tried for violating the Constitutional rights of the American public for perpetuating this domestic surveillance upon us. It would do the Country good to set aside partisan bickering and see both Bush and Obama (and Cheney and everyone in Congress who voted for immunity) all sit in the same cell for this violation of our rights.
- saranagati, on 10/09/2009, -2/+21normally i'd agree with you, but you just couldn't be more wrong about this one. it was obama and the rest of congress who passed the legislature giving the telecoms immunity.
- Dailydose4me, on 10/09/2009, -3/+22what the ????? i mean this is just not possible. the govt making a fool of us !
- ObeseSnake, on 10/09/2009, -0/+19Well why don't you just post your address here and have us come by and take a look at your things? You don't have anything to hide, illegal or anything that could possibly embarrass you...right??? Just for security sake and the children of course.
- adml_shake, on 10/09/2009, -0/+18AT&T certainly didn't have any problem buying into that idea.
- Chakat, on 10/09/2009, -2/+20Obama voted for telecom immunity. He's just as culpable as Bush here.
- paulvq, on 10/09/2009, -1/+18Well...Bush may have pushed it on the American people, but the Nobel Peace Prize winner sure did support it with his vote.
It takes more than a president to pass laws here, you know. - picsectionpleez, on 10/10/2009, -2/+18"The feds were supposed to make the documents available Friday, but in a motion late Thursday, the Obama administration is asking for a 30-day emergency stay (.pdf) so it can file a further appeal."
=How do you like Obama now? - Kyzzyxx, on 10/09/2009, -0/+15No, no wait! Boycott them! IOW, vote every single one of these ***** in congress out. Force term limits, Force minimum wage.. hell, why do they even have a wage when taxes pay for everything for these asshats? Boycott businesses that help them break the law, that play their mouthpiece.. both sides. Force them to have the same health care as everyone else. Make lobbying illegal, businesses should have no more access to them than any other single citizen does. Don't allow them to give themselves pay raises (yes, they do). Don't allow them to have vacations when people are dying in wars they start. Start a 3 strikes legal system. Lie once, fined. Lie twice, fined more and removed from any committees. Lie a third time, impeached. No one that serves this many people should be allowed to lie.. ever! Do it as a group. Do it ASAP!
- tek69, on 10/09/2009, -1/+15What sucks is that the white house asked for a 30day extension. They should have just stayed out of it. Now obama gets lumped in with little king george. Yes this all went into effect when bush was in office but now it seems barak is supporting it. I'm very disappointed.
- BrapAllgood, on 10/10/2009, -1/+15Have a green thumb.
- scuba7183, on 10/09/2009, -2/+14Bush may have started it, but Obama sure hasn't repealed it
- pcpimpster, on 10/09/2009, -0/+11who creates these trolls... there must be something you can find better to do.
- Hetman, on 10/09/2009, -3/+14Your joking right? You seriously do not know who Yassar Arafat is?
- user500, on 10/10/2009, -0/+10Were is my "change"?
- Hetman, on 10/09/2009, -0/+10It would be awesome if she was real though. The fact that she is capable of turning on a pc and typing would give hope to even the most stupid people that exist.
- Kyzzyxx, on 10/09/2009, -14/+24NOBEL Peace Prize.. not much noble about it anymore.
- caseycoold, on 10/10/2009, -0/+10Your choice 3 is dead on. Lots of paper, lots of black marks. Then everyone will forget about it. wtf?!
- Moonkeeper, on 10/10/2009, -0/+10If only there was a name for the blending of big corporations and government....then we'd know what to call this.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism#Economic_poli ... - jezsik, on 10/10/2009, -0/+10Right. You know, I was wondering what ever happened to East Germany. It's now on the other side of the Atlantic.
- crimeboss818, on 10/09/2009, -1/+11I think the disturbing part is everyone already didn't know about this. I thought this was common knowledge.
- Sublimin4L, on 10/10/2009, -0/+10This has been going on for years:

etc, etc. Nothing new here, move along. - Kyzzyxx, on 10/09/2009, -0/+9What's this 'us' *****?
- shig, on 10/10/2009, -0/+9Now it seems? He voted for it!
- BrapAllgood, on 10/10/2009, -3/+11"so what Im hearing is: its ok when bush does it, but if obama does it is not ok. "
'LISTEN' CAREFULLY:
Some people are smart enough to see through the ***** from BOTH the Republicans *and* the Democrats. In fact, some see them as NO DIFFERENT. Wake up, grow up-- whatever it takes to give you a clue in this.
You obviously 'hear' what you want to 'hear'. - DonJuan, on 10/09/2009, -0/+8It's a Trap!
- eRaptor, on 10/10/2009, -0/+7What's the point of having a Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc. if the U.S. government picks and chooses to enforce the provisions which best suit its purposes at the expense of our "Democratic" society?
- TexMexRex, on 10/10/2009, -2/+9Bush is no longer the presesident. That is history.
The current president has done nothign to stop this stuff, and is promoting it. That is the problem. - LinuxPerson, on 10/10/2009, -0/+7If they did that, people might wake up to the fact that both parties are largely controlled by the same interests and thereby serve approximately the same causes which precipitate the status quo.
During the Bush years I remember war protests which shows that Republicans aren't the only one deceiving the public. What's truly scary is the fact that many anti-war Democrats have given up because they honestly think Obama is ending the wars. - libervisco, on 10/09/2009, -3/+10US Government Inc. just made a new acquisition.
And you thought Microsoft was bad. - Arcueid01, on 10/10/2009, -0/+7Obama is just another bought off fool like the rest of them dude. Face it. The American public eats up the ***** campaign promises and they don't look at the candidates records. Furthermore they love the candidates not the issues. They don't care what Obama votes for or does. Rather they care that HE is President. It's really messed up!
- user500, on 10/10/2009, -0/+7Even so the odds are probably grater that the late Yassar Arafat will step in and do something. Republicans clam they don't like Obama's "change", I'm at a loss of what has changed.
New president same *****. - inactive, on 10/10/2009, -0/+7We've all watched the videos and seen the sound weapons used against the citizens of America. We've all seen the videos of cops shooting and beating innocent people. We've all watched as our government bombs foreigners without impunity. We all know about the government programs which sponsor torture. We all know about the "secret" spy progrmans that aren't meant to be so secret as to cause real outrage.
I have one question: Who is the ***** terrorist? - LenBaird, on 10/10/2009, -0/+6He voted for the immunity as a senator, as pointed out above. Secondly, he is a liar, and he is continuing ALL of the major Bush unconstitutional, illegal, programs and wars.
The only time Obama is better than Bush is when he is speaking. He is charming, and presents himself well. But, when you are looking at a liar that is worse than a moron (like Bush) because people will believe the lies. - user500, on 10/10/2009, -1/+7You would thing Republicans would love Obama, he is towing there party line.
- mrjit, on 10/10/2009, -1/+7Actually I didn't.
- shig, on 10/10/2009, -0/+6Starve the Beast. Stop paying taxes.
