- obviouslyshane, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16Japan: responsible for 79% of the worlds weird *****...
- techmaster, on 10/10/2007, -3/+18I used to hate Norton products. Now I despise them.
- Garfunkel, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14wow, it really shows the bloat and ineffectiveness of norton anti virus.
that was what it was showing right? - hellathatguy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10I always thought the pink ranger was hot. go go power rangers.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phyxnhSth24 - Nocturnalsgfx, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8I just un-installed norton on a friends PC. It took more than 2 hours.. Then I installed AVG and Spybot.. 243 Spyware items found and 39 viruses. If that isn't quality I don't know what is.
- Foggles, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Norton Punch!!!
- shortarabguy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Damn, I just watched that thing where those guys from South Korea all form a massive 3 color banner that changes( I think they were called a human LCD or something), and this really exemplifies how people in the same continent can both win and fail so hard that it hurts.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5I really dunno what to say to this...
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5So basically, add a gundam-power ranger-esque robot to anything and you have the Japanese market.
- quickcomment, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6So, the message of this ad is: Viruses and trojans molest your sexy computer programs and Norton Fighter takes his sweet-ass time getting there to do anything about it.
Good to know. - tempusrob, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3In Firefox, go Tools --> Advanced --> Content tab --> JavaScript's "Advanced" button --> Uncheck everything
- kestrel127, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Go Go Norton *****!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3only in the footage that was taken from the japanese show Power Rangers was taken from.
Amy Jo Johnson was the pink power ranger

- luchid, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Whoever designed that webpage should be shot. Resizing my current browser windows is a HUGE NO-NO!
- Dokument, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3http://www.nortonfighter.com/
- kestrel127, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Symantec AntiVirus sucks
Symantec AntiVirus Server sucks
Symantec System Center Console Sucks
Symantec just sucks
. - juicebag, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Only 79%?
- Tenoq, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I think that's how many Norton users have felt after install 2005/2006 NIS.
"Surely my computer wouldn't be this slow even if it was FULL of viruses?!?" - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2preinstalled Norton is 50% of why people think windows sucks
uninstall it and get AVG Avira or another free one. - WraithTDK, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Norton has always been the best. The problem is, we don't have Norton anymore. We have symantec with a yellow coat of paint, and Symantec is money-grubbing and somewhat clueless.
Still, I will say this: in all fairness, their 2007 and 2008 products are the best they've been in five years. The new interface in the IS suite is a huge step up from the 2006 version, and I compliment them for integrating fairly competent backup software into 360. Their detection rate is good (certainly better than McAfee's), but still gets easily beat Kaspersky-based products like escan. Best of all, the system resource footprint is the smallest they've been in years.
The bottom line is that the moment Norton got bought out by Symantec they started going down hill. For the last year or so, they've been making strides to rebuild their name, and they've been doing a good job of it. However, they still have a good ways to go before they completely wash the foul taste out of my mouth from their past products. - iChainsaw, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2what the *****?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1they're just jealous hitman pro left them out
- astrotrain, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Can not hit that Dugg button enough times for this comment.
- VeroZ, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Man, those japanese people got smooth moves!
- daleeburg, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1sure enough, looks like bloatware to me.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3i dunno what to tell ya man... but under that pink suit it was a guy....
- warnergt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1On a Mac, the Norton Fighter is kind of like the Maytag repairman -- nothing to do.
- hellathatguy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1heck yes.
- RogerStrong, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1How does this "redefine" any form of marketing? Half the companies on the planet have had a "superhero" mascot at one time or another.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1 BAM! Kapow! The Norton fighter was unable to clean the virus!! The Norton fighter did not Detect any Trojans or viruses! The Norton Fighter was unable to remove your virus!! Shazamm!!!!
- Takuro, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Who needs the Norton Fighter when you could have Chuck Norris?
Churck Norris could wipe out an army of viruses with a single pinky finger to the keyboard. Less dancing around, more kicking ass. - tacroy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1took me a second too. Redefine because instead of being a viral style video it is a video literally about "viruses".
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1That advert is time and money that could have been spent making Norton less *****.
- astrotrain, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"Tell me about it"
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1lol i knew that and i knew id be called out on it >.> damn you
- astrotrain, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Whats next Nortongard's Security Suite.... in big yellow boxes and when they join together they form a giant bloated robot? Symantec has to be kidding with this, then again, they are loosing ground here in the states
to AVG, Avast, ect. Now I am curiously waiting for McAfee to top this one, possibly with a Hello Kitty like themed movie perhaps?
Meanwhile, just send in The AVGanator to squash not only these ninja viruses, but also kick the Norton Fighters ass to the moon.... Symantec... you've sunk to a new low in publicity. - TomP, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1WTF at video
- astrotrain, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Its a shame that people do not know about the legally FREE Antivirus checkers out, and spend hundreds of dollars on them to get that warm and fuzzy feeling because they bought or were suckered into a name brand AV application.
- WraithTDK, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Also, it wouldn't be quite so bad if it wasn't for that blue guy.
HEY! I wonder if that was supposed to be Windows Live One Care, and the chick and red was McAfee?
Two products that are definitely worse than Norton (Live One Care, in particular, has the hands-down WORSE detection rate than ANY major AV system. - ropers, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I don't care how good their marketing is, their products still suck.
- jpwonderful, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1To say nothing about the product, I think the campaign is hilarious. Anyone check the Japanese site/blog? They went all out with this stuff.
- astrotrain, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1McAfee = Overloated, resource hog, that misses quite a lot of things.
Symantec = " ", but now thinks they are badd ass with a Kung Fu hereo (even David Carradine would kick his ass)
Microsoft = Joke of the day... - Rizin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Remember! Japan's Super heroes are in the power ranger spandex style not like our Superman/Batman heroes
- tiburon33, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Why don't we have EDWARD NORTON bring his Fight Club Character back, and narrate a commerical with just the norton anti-virus box in plain view behind a black background; His dead-pan dialogue reads: "NORTON...AN UNDERGROUND SECRET..."
