- gcopenhaver, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1The compression could be useful for saving bandwidth or storage space, but the encryption is useless. If the person uploading the file wants their files encrypted so no one else can access them, they should have encrypted them before sending them in the clear over the (insecure!) internet to the website. With the encryption/decryption being done at the server end, you get no security at all from it, just wasted server resources.
Plus, you could just use Drupal 5.x with a few file uploading/management modules and achieve the same thing.
