- Canadaa, on 11/26/2008, -1/+141wait, you mean it won't burn a hole through the burglar? lame.
- orangester, on 11/26/2008, -3/+85What good are lasers if they aren't attached to sharks?
- snea, on 11/26/2008, -1/+63But how do I protect my laserbeams?
- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -0/+53with sharks
- PiRATE7, on 11/26/2008, -1/+40Wow he wasnt sponsored to use that leatherman at all
- ickybod, on 11/26/2008, -7/+43How the ***** is that easy?
- voldron, on 11/26/2008, -0/+32But it doesn't keep ninjas or velociraptors out, buried.
- TConundrum, on 11/26/2008, -5/+25But does it call onstar to warn of a collision?
- gamebittk, on 11/26/2008, -0/+18Well if will if get your lasers here: http://www.wickedlasers.com/
- MrCoke, on 11/26/2008, -2/+172) alarm goes off.
glitchbit fail. - 4321234, on 11/26/2008, -0/+15Good move. Wall mounted rotties are virtually useless.
- kenhatesemos, on 11/26/2008, -0/+14he would also have to know that the house was protected with laserbeams.
- bob1029, on 11/26/2008, -0/+13How the ***** is that hard?
If you have never touched a soldering iron in your life then maybe, but even inexperienced people have some level of competence when it comes to sticking 3 components in a project board, using a hot glue gun, and drilling holes in a piece of plastic. - MiGs2, on 11/26/2008, -0/+12Onstar is for sissies.
- glitchbit, on 11/26/2008, -5/+15In my next video I will show you how to disable the laser.
Step 1) Unplug laser - oboshoe, on 11/26/2008, -0/+9I want one that cuts your legs off if you walk through it.
That way, you don't even need the alarm. - Finalreminder, on 11/26/2008, -0/+8I've got two large Rottweilers.
Thankfully I don't have to worry if they fall off the wall. - thegrantman, on 11/26/2008, -1/+9Blind digg for lasers.
- martoq, on 11/26/2008, -0/+8Curious if the alarm stops ringing once the laser realigns.
- bob1029, on 11/27/2008, -0/+7If you wanted to make it take longer to reset, a second large capacitor could be added to the gate of the transistor with a resistor so that the voltage drop across the cap would change slowly, and cause the alarm to stay on for a longer period of time even after the beam was restored.
- centran, on 11/26/2008, -0/+7then rig up a solenoid to the trigger of firearm and instead of activating an alarm activate the solenoid. BAM!
- Knowltey, on 11/27/2008, -0/+7Can it run Crysis?
- JohnFlux, on 11/26/2008, -1/+8You said that exact same comment in the story Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan to get anti-sniper device.
- thisispeace, on 11/26/2008, -2/+8laser beam trip system, $55: http://www.allspectrum.com/store/product_info.php? ...

And pray your little mirror doesn't fall off the wall.
- Whackly, on 11/26/2008, -1/+7I envision lots of cat induced trips to the panic room.
- kadoosh, on 11/26/2008, -1/+7Setting up something like that in a library or a school would be fun.
- uruururr, on 11/26/2008, -0/+5ill settle for my ill tempered sea bass
- noizeuk, on 11/26/2008, -0/+5Ill-tempered Sea Bass are just as good methinks!
- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -0/+5Instructional vid please. With smarmy voice over.
- tb0n3r, on 11/26/2008, -0/+5FTV: "most are committed at night"
No, 60% of all burglaries are committed during daylight hours, when the occupants are away at work. - Cyberdactyl, on 11/26/2008, -0/+5In practice you'll be losing alignment and having false alarms in days if not hours.
- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -0/+5Until Arnold accidentally discovered that a thin layer of mud applied to the skin somehow removes all the heat from your body so you can't be detected. Good to know.
- 4321234, on 11/26/2008, -3/+7I'm doing fine with black powder and grapeshot. I see no need to upgrade.
- Disease, on 11/26/2008, -0/+4Another laser beam system that protects your existing laser beams.
- thisispeace, on 11/26/2008, -0/+4Depends on how you wire the circuit. The quick glimpse of the circuit made it seem like it's just a momentary trip. So if the burglar wanted to wake you up he could break in, put his hand in front of the laser, hide behind your couch while you check your house for burglars, and then pop back out and put his hand in front of the laser to wake you up again. Or kill you.
- bakersfield90, on 11/26/2008, -0/+4It's so you don't get stabbed in the face while sleeping.
Nobody likes getting stabbed in the face. - arunforce, on 11/27/2008, -0/+43) Bust out of jail.
4) Unplug Alarm. - lukis100, on 11/26/2008, -1/+5I love how he pronounces "laser"
- Whackly, on 11/26/2008, -0/+4Oh god! Sorry baby! I didn't know you'd be home so early.
/ambulance - bloodqc, on 11/27/2008, -0/+4and they will learn how to backflip over them
- inactive, on 11/27/2008, -0/+4That's precisely why it's going to teach people (burglars or otherwise) to stay the ***** away from your home.
- dacheetah, on 11/26/2008, -0/+3For a laser to burn a hole, it needs to generate heat, and to generate heat, the light has to be absorbed, not reflected. Unless you have a REALLY big laser, and the tiny percentage of the light absorbed by the glass (and atmosphere) heat up enough to melt glass, or your mirror is REALLY dirty, then you won't have any problems at all.

- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -0/+3I remember some dude getting convicted of manslaughter for something like that a while back. Not recommended.
