- StandardsGuy, on 04/19/2008, -0/+0Interesting to read that Paypal identify some visitors as still using IE3 and IE4. I don't quite understand the phishing risk if you're *actually on the Paypal website* (I need to read more on that naturally) but going back to websites with browser detection - and then shutting you out - doesn't seem progressive enough. It's the 90's all over again. Now, slapping a big warning overlay via some server-side scripting with a description of the problem and clear, trustworthy links to alternate browser downloads seems a little more customer-friendly? Be interesting to see if any debate springs up over this news.
