- UncleToxie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I do, he didn't roll over then, I don't suspect he will now.

- gabeN, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Hopefully I'm the only one going through the backdoor in "those" phone calls...

I thought PGP was OpenSource....???? Am I wrong? I know Zimmerman didn't get bullied into it though, but at some point PGP's inner workings became public knowledge. - nonsequitor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Its a good thing that BorderWare is Canadian-Based, Aye?
I remember seeing this guy speak at DefCon 13 about the ZFone, I thought that's obvious, how did this guy get this talk in here. Then I realized, it was only "obvious" once the idea was presented. The fact that is seems pretty obvious means that its a very good implementation. I've been waiting for a way to encrypt VOIP before I start using it, its nice to hear these are on the way.
@WorldGroove
PGP is closed source, GPG is the FOSS implementation. - Jasonn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4@WorldGroove
PGP isn't open souce, OpenPGP is. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The Gov backed off Zimmerman AFTER he opened the source to PGP.
- Himself, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2finally... 'safe' voip/sip anywhere-phones?
- sarixe, on 01/05/2009, -0/+1There's always a back door.
- williamdyer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes! And no centralized key management.
- williamdyer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The domestic spying controversies will have a very positive effect on society if the default for communication become securely encrypted. Most of the bad, intrusive laws will become unenforceable. Bring it on.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3I don't think the US Gov would allow any product like this to be released unless they ALREADY had some kind of backdoor.
Remember what happened to Zimmerman years ago when he wouldn't give up the source for PGP?
