But if we can't trust online ads anymore, what CAN we trust?! - BohicaTwentyTwo, on 05/05/2009, -1/+80Sounds like the perfect idiot test. If you take the test, you are an idiot.
- yocouchdigga, on 05/05/2009, -3/+61still qualifies as an IQ Test, imho.
- CrazySpaniard, on 05/05/2009, -1/+49Don't be a pussy this looks legit
- JAVandiver, on 05/05/2009, -1/+37No *****?! And those what about those crush notifications? You mean that there isn't some wonderful person from my past who is madly in love with me just waiting for me to click on this banner? My entire world is shattered and happiness will eternally elude me...

- divinediva, on 05/05/2009, -4/+29This kind of deceptive advertising is ridiculous.
- dannymb877, on 05/05/2009, -2/+20lol, i had another comment... and then i saw this ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
- Zetsubou, on 05/05/2009, -1/+19Dowload.
- wejmahtin, on 05/05/2009, -2/+17You could tell it was a ***** test when the first question was history. "Name the 16th president." That would *never* be on an IQ test.

And you think it's a coincidence Digg features these ads? - ArgusWatch, on 05/05/2009, -0/+12The general rule of thumb goes as follows: "The smaller something is written in a contract, the more importance it has"...
- inactive, on 05/05/2009, -0/+12Hasn't worked so well.
- FDisk, on 05/05/2009, -0/+11You shall not pass!
- frazw, on 05/05/2009, -1/+12All the small print does is make it legal.
It is still perfectly possible to scam someone and be within the law.
To scam out of money is to take it without them wanting you too. You can do that legally or illegally. Just because they were lazy and didn't read the small print doesn't mean they wanted to give their money away.
That said I do wish these stupid people would stop supporting these ***** scammers and spammers so we could go back to the days of no spam and no annoying ads or rather not needing tools to deal with them. - joshmoney, on 05/05/2009, -0/+11Seeing as how you didn't read the title and yada yada yada...
- gaqua, on 05/05/2009, -0/+11I had my IQ tested and it was over 600 which made me suspicious. Then, being brilliant, I deduced it was in metric. So using a conversion method I invented, I determined it was actually 217. Which is not bad.
- CrazySpaniard, on 05/05/2009, -0/+11I deleted your image on tinypic and reuploaded it on imgur

don't use tinypic - bagelmaster, on 05/05/2009, -2/+12Social security numbers have 3 digits in the starting part. Fail.
- wejmahtin, on 05/05/2009, -0/+10Pretty bad question for an IQ test imho. Firstly it has nothing to do with logic/problem solving/mental capacity and secondly it's specific to US history.
- N0DIGGITY, on 05/05/2009, -0/+9now fair and balanced...and ACCURATE!
- Ragzouken, on 05/05/2009, -1/+10It's merely taking advantage of stupid people... by deceiving them...
- UselessTrivia, on 05/05/2009, -1/+10I took that test, but as soon as I saw the "cell phone" link, I just put in a bogus number (000-000-0000). Never did get the "results" though.
What's really sneaky is how they advertise on your friends page what score your other friends got. Even though none of them have taken it. I'm surprised Facebook allows those ads....that's going to screw over a lot of people. - the8thbit, on 05/05/2009, -1/+10Aw *****. I was totally scammed by one of these ads. Once that Nigerian prince wires me my share of his fortune I'm going to call up one those fancy TV lawyers and sue the pants off these bastards!
- bjs3171, on 05/05/2009, -1/+9that's good, because i have no clue.
- strictnein, on 05/05/2009, -1/+9We should remember the exact number they were? Why is that, exactly? I know when he served and what he did, that's what is important.
- FlyinRyan89, on 05/05/2009, -1/+9haha...my mom did this.
- inactive, on 05/05/2009, -0/+7Corte wasn't saying that Chrome blocks ads. He was pointing out that plur was suggesting a Firefox extension to a Chrome user.
- Khorpo, on 05/05/2009, -0/+7touché
- emjaysea, on 05/05/2009, -0/+7Perhaps you don't use facebook--the "ad" shows up like it's part of the system of quizzes one can elect to take; in fact, it may be part of the system of quizzes people take. It names some of your friends, complete with their icons, lists their IQs and says they challenge you to take the quiz. So, you take the quiz, and at the end it says enter your phone number and we'll text you your results. That's where I said, no ***** way, but the phishing evidently is catching plenty of phish.
- SpeedStix, on 05/05/2009, -0/+7I took the test..I was really bored one day. While taking it the answers seemed WAY too easy to be considered an IQ test. When I got to the results it asked for my cell phone number I knew something was up.
- SummerofGeorge, on 05/05/2009, -3/+10chrome doesn't block ads, moron
- wrmjr, on 05/05/2009, -1/+8One hint might be when they offer to send you your IQ/ex-flame's name/guaranteed lottery number via a text message. You know, 'cause it is really hard to display that kind of info on a computer screen.
- Slackluster, on 05/05/2009, -1/+8Scams are fine but pictures of people blowing out smoke are censored. Thanks Facebook!
- digitul, on 05/05/2009, -0/+7Deception? In MY internet ads?!
- cawpin, on 05/05/2009, -0/+7http://media.photobucket.com/image/chances%20pussy ...
- HonoredMule, on 05/05/2009, -0/+7That just begs the question: why do I even want to route a tiny piece of information over a phone system and into a probably crappy mobile UI when it's already right here? That's like using the internet to arrange data exchange by bike messenger, or calling someone on the phone to arrange a short email.
Even without the subscription, I couldn't be bothered to jump through hoops for something so trivial. - wbtittle, on 05/05/2009, -1/+7My question is: "What percent of the ads on facebook are scams?"
It seems like at least half fall into this category of ripoff. - inactive, on 05/05/2009, -1/+7If you're dumb enough to click one of those things, you're probably not smart enough to be reading Consumerist.
- PeppermintEgo, on 05/05/2009, -1/+7Someone just figured this out?
- inactive, on 05/05/2009, -0/+6Don't take an online IQ test. If you want to know your IQ backed up with actual scientific research take the WAIS-IV or Stanford-Binet 5 given by someone trained to do so.
- foltaggio, on 05/06/2009, -0/+6Sorry, that was an honest typo!
- vertigelt, on 05/05/2009, -0/+6a measure of intelligence should NOT be culturally biased.

- rezashojaei, on 05/05/2009, -0/+5The smaller something is written in a contract, the worse it ***** your life
