- DickyT83, on 01/09/2009, -4/+213I haven't seen a spam e-mail in ages. Thanks, G-mail.
- boshuda, on 01/08/2009, -2/+148For the record, I use Gmail and forward my domain email there, numbering about 10 domains that all have light to moderate activity.
Some Ive had for about 10 years.
My spam folder has over 6000 emails in it.
Once in a great while one will spill over to the Inbox and I deal with it then, but not often.
I have a greater chance of seeing a blue moon.
Stay classy, Gmail.
<3 - gmaiI, on 01/09/2009, -0/+102You're Welcome
- perryc, on 01/08/2009, -0/+83Most common spammer names: Les and Barry. I would add Mr. Charles Soludo, from Nigeria.
- gmaiI, on 01/09/2009, -0/+59Will do.
- toddomatic, on 01/09/2009, -0/+41If spam wastes any of your time each day, you absolutely owe it to yourself to get Gmail or a Google Apps (bring your own domain) account. I spent a few minutes per YEAR on spam after switching to Gmail.
- hasansexy, on 01/09/2009, -0/+41So what did you say your email adress was?
- H3llr41s3r, on 01/09/2009, -0/+35TODAY MAKE a move to LOVE your LIFE! get a JOB selling HUGE 12 INCHES WATCHES to overSIZEd WOMEN.
Spam anyone? - andythefan, on 01/09/2009, -1/+36He created an account just to reply to you.
- hallihg, on 01/08/2009, -1/+35One War & Peace every month. Wow.
- phpchris, on 01/09/2009, -0/+21I'm quite surprised no one had created that account before.
- abajaj2280, on 01/09/2009, -2/+21yahoo spam filter sucks ass.
- lhbaker, on 01/09/2009, -0/+17It would be ridiculous if it were true that the orders were reversed, but they're not. Pretty much consistently random order in both lists. Just saying.
- SoundJudgment, on 01/09/2009, -1/+18Note to self:
'Dominique' is a male name. - mescad, on 01/09/2009, -0/+17If you are getting 50-100 spam messages in your inbox, something is wrong with your settings. I forward my catch-all address to a gmail account. In the past 30 days I've received just over 22,000 spam messages and around 300 "ham" messages. In the past year I've probably found 10 spam messages in my inbox. My email address (anything@mydomain.com) is not as old as yours though. I've only had it since 1997.
My ratio is about to 73:1, so I agree with the above poster who said the guy in the pic is a lightweight. - XenonofArcticus, on 01/08/2009, -2/+19That guys is a lightweight. I get way more spam than that.
- brainintraining, on 01/09/2009, -4/+20FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!

- jun2san, on 01/09/2009, -0/+13Maybe because nobody has personally thanked gmail before.
- muffcakes, on 01/09/2009, -0/+13i hope you are joking
- PhillyOC, on 01/09/2009, -0/+13Hey! Don't bang on Mr. Soludo. He is prepared to infuse US $185,885,800.00 into my bank account any day now from a long-lost step-grand uncle I have in Nigeria that left the money to me in his will.
- Myztry, on 01/09/2009, -0/+11In or out :)
- MLGLies, on 01/09/2009, -0/+10This is the best thing I've seen on Digg since the Dominos Pizza with None Sauce, Left Beef.

Here are the Spam logs from one of our corporate domains. This server has 111 email addresses on it and it is very rare for Spam to leak through. But you can see the strain it puts on the server on a daily basis;

Then, I send all emails to my regular account where it is run through spamassassin. After that, I still get about 50-100 per day. Of course I've had my email address since 1995 but I refuse to change it.

- abol684, on 01/09/2009, -0/+4are you kidding me? i started a yahoo email acct about a year ago that i was hoping to use just for "junk mail" - i logged in the other day to grab a password reset code and had to troll through 21K spam emails. 21,000! i spent a good 30 minutes marking them all as spam so hopefully that wouldn't happen again...
