- Xaevier, on 07/11/2009, -1/+44For their sakes lets hope they don't piss off 4chan, the psychiatry bills for all those who would receive the images hacked onto their sites would topple whats left of their economy.
- EverybodyPanic, on 07/11/2009, -8/+41For a country with no power lines and disconnected from the internet, North Korea seems to be responsible for quite a lot of cyber attacks. Either Kim Jong-il is very busy hacking day and night on his only two computers in the entire country, or the U.S. Department of Propaganda is really taking us for idiots.
- TheMachine1, on 07/11/2009, -0/+25If they attack porn it will be war.
- RegularUser, on 07/11/2009, -3/+28Hey fellow diggers, why don't we stress test this site:
http://www.korea-dpr.com/ - e1evene1even, on 07/11/2009, -3/+18QUICK! Better re-write the Cyber Security Act in Pig Latin with some special secret sauce to get the terra-ists! Then blindfold Congress and turn off the lights (in case anyone peeks and tries to read it before voting).
I think Rockefeller was right, we would've been better of without this stinkin' internet in the first place!
Thank god he introduced this bill to keep us all safe on the internets. His family always has our best interests at heart. - KittySpark1es, on 07/11/2009, -3/+14North Korea has internet?
- Lunarsight, on 07/11/2009, -1/+11Obnoxious remarks presuming how diggers collectively think or act is also a great way to guarantee you will be dugg down.
I actually agreed with you completely until the very last paragraph.
As you can see, your typecast of Diggers didn't hold true here. The original poster was dugg up, not buried. - splicerslicer, on 07/11/2009, -2/+12Right except there are restricted internet connections for those holding government positions and they do have branches spamming and probably hacking computers. And as for the power connections, ya that's rubbish--they just can't keep *reliable* power.
- anonymousmedic, on 07/11/2009, -2/+11LOL Infowars.
Here, borrow my Reynalds Wrap. - HarborTwo, on 07/11/2009, -4/+12If only we still had MJ to protect us from North Korea
- Remlog, on 07/11/2009, -5/+12North Korea is a rittle ronery.
- sicsempertyrann, on 07/11/2009, -10/+17Hmmmm...I don't know...I mean not to be unpatriotic or anything, but after analyzing what the government did after 9/11..Patriot Act, illegal wiretapping, list goes on... and finding out Iraq really was irrelevant to Al Qaeda and the whole war on terrorism thing..I think in my opinion this is just another preemptive excuse maybe latter to launch a war against North Korea..not saying that North Korea is good or anything, but just applying what was learned from previous actions and events that led US into war with foreign countries...so maybe its time to throw out war on terrorism..and in with the new..WAR ON CYBER-TERRORISM....idk yet but just speculating...
- Craig304958, on 07/11/2009, -0/+6Dugg down for insulting people who agreed. Would've dugg up except for that unnecessary and inaccurate little snideswipe.
- Wayfarer12, on 07/11/2009, -1/+7Dude, World of Failcakes was so 2008. Get with the times and find something more constructive to do.
- inactive, on 07/11/2009, -1/+7ha. false flag cyber attacks.
so is it just coincidence that there is a July committee vote on cybersecurity legislation?
the legislation would give the president the power to shut down the internet during a 'cyber crisis'. - bakedpajamas, on 07/11/2009, -14/+20Coincidentally there is cybersecurity legislation -sponsored by Jay Rockerfeller -coming up for a vote this month.
This is how laws are passed these days.
Introduce a bill.
Create the terror act that conveniently coincides with the law you are trying to pass.
Stir up panic amongst the sheep.
Pass above said law.
Works every time.
But you wasting your time with most diggers. Unless it has a cute kittens or a penis, With pic, you will get dugg down by these superior minded folks. - mparker21311, on 07/11/2009, -0/+5We are anonymous!
/s - Whackly, on 07/11/2009, -1/+6Yes. That logic is perfectly sound.
- had3l, on 07/11/2009, -2/+7Hard to believe that this horrible design is the best the whole country could come up with.
And still they can bring computers in S. Korea and in the US to its knees...
Yeah, right. - xMoat, on 07/11/2009, -9/+14this is utter non-sense, dont digg this propaganda. they just want to pass the cyber-security act! dont believe the lies, it's *****.
www.infowars.com - Craig304958, on 07/11/2009, -0/+5Yeah, but that's not what it's really about. It's about controlling info channels from day to day, and probably about enabling legislation for the content control (copyright) treaty being negotiated secretly by the government. (Let's all cheer for Obama's "transparent government" promise. Yay.)
- shcforward, on 07/11/2009, -4/+9I work in South Korea. The other day, they sent out memos to everyone who is a public sector employee. Their main tactic to combat the DDoS attacks was to a. change the date on their computers back and b. to download a hastily made, poorly programmed fix that was causing crashes for two of the computers in my office.
That being said, it seems to me like this is more likely the work of a pissed off South Korean college student than NK. - Junkyarddawg, on 07/11/2009, -1/+6Dude, have you ever TRIED to hack a Commdore 64?
- zephc, on 07/11/2009, -0/+4They've already hacked your account, emptied the guild bank, and sold off all your epic gear to the lowest bidder
- bakedpajamas, on 07/11/2009, -0/+4 My experience here has been quite negative, when trying to spread the word on something that is not mainstream.
So yes, sometimes my comments are dickish in nature. In this case I submit to you a resounding, My Bad.
I can't digg myself down, so I dugg you 2 up. -Peace - BotchaMcCoola, on 07/11/2009, -1/+5Better not be so smart. The US Military and or the CIA may pay you a little visit to improve your "patriotism".
- acknotSW, on 07/11/2009, -0/+4"Then blindfold Congress and turn off the lights (in case anyone peeks and tries to read it before voting)."
Totally unnecessary, they wouldn't read it if a perfect copy was handed to them while they were sitting on the can. - Craig304958, on 07/11/2009, -0/+4Wow - I caught a bad case of paranoia just looking at that site. But it's okay, I'm all better now. I did like that "ammo is getting low" ad - probably speaks directly to the site's general readers. <insert pun on targats/targeted ads here>
- yocouchdigga, on 07/11/2009, -1/+5Send in the dongs!
- yocouchdigga, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3It's because of that story the idiot from youtube made popular: http://digg.com/other_sports/The_Story_of_Prisoner ...
Difranconation should be banned from digg. - Zaxcomp, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3Yes, and they even have net cafes.
- Craig304958, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3Ya think?
- inactive, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3They found /b/ ?
- Zaxcomp, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3And the other two are running BSD.
- Piha, on 07/11/2009, -2/+5That would explain all the crap comments on digg...
- ushere, on 07/11/2009, -2/+5beware - n korea has just taken delivery of two telex machines and has three fax machines coming from russia. china is supplying the technicians to connect them to the telephone line (when they find it).
once it's all up and running........ - Junkyarddawg, on 07/11/2009, -1/+4So why is there an army of Prisonplanet conspiracy morons here trying to cover this up? Is Prisonplanet cooperating with North Korea? Perhaps Kim Jong Il *IS* Alex Jones? Have anyone seen them together? Is there any truth in the rumor that Alex Jones hatches Reptilian shock troops in Pyongyang? YOU BE THE JUDGE!
- inactive, on 07/11/2009, -1/+4Because there's no such thing as cyber-attacks? Or because NK wouldn't use cyber-attacks?
- th3heretic, on 07/11/2009, -1/+4Christ someone delete that website.

N.Korea uses a Spanish hosting company? go figure. - inactive, on 07/11/2009, -2/+4No need to be unsure. Government is terrorism.
- Craig304958, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2Should read: "...forces of [insert enemy name]"
- Craig304958, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2I doubt it's about North Korea, though that makes a fine excuse for people with other agendas. In this case, it seems more like a bid to control information distribution channels. I mean, darn it, look how people on those internets keep turning over apple carts! Not to mention, the new secret treaty negotiations to bypass constitutional safeguards and tighten international control of information ownership probably will need enabling legislation.
This one isn't about North Korea. It's about limiting access to information on the net. - aforsberg, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2God damnit North Korea. Get in the corner.
- JohnnySoftware, on 07/12/2009, -0/+2FTA: "One online expert was quoted as telling a South Korean daily that tracking the spread of the malicious software showed it had originated from an IP address based in United States."
There is nobody saying *evidence* exists of the malware being spread from North Korea. There is somebody (unnamed) that is saying the software's spread started in the United States. Given history of malware attacks, you very often find the person responsible is here in the USA and is a kid, at that.
Unless North Korea was the 51st state and I didn't year about it, I hope everyone is focusing on the attacks point of origin, not fantasies. Since that location sounds like it is ion the United States, I wish people would stop saying we need to drop a nuke on the culprit. Chances are if he lives in your neighborhood, you are not going to be too happy with that outcome. - CaptainTater, on 07/11/2009, -0/+24chan was down for a week. :(
- TheBigBentley, on 07/12/2009, -0/+2Slow to connect... I think its loading.......?
nope. Can we get a mirror? - SpinningHead, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2http://digg.com/tech_news/ImageShack_Hacked_by_Ant ...
- bakedpajamas, on 07/11/2009, -6/+8The sheep on digg will not understand the truth you have to offer. I agree 100% with your suspicions.
