Man Receives Compensation for Cyberbullying

blog.wired.com — A Beijing man who was the target of a "virtual lynching" by vigilantes after being blamed for his wife's suicide, has received a payout in China for the cyberbullying. Wang Fei was awarded about 9,000 yuan (about $1,300) after losing his job and being harassed online and at his home.

    I don't think torpid means what you think it means. The last thing these people who are being rewarded in lawsuits is is "numb", I think the word you want is "injured" or "hurt".

You can easily ban a specific URL or IP address but the uncoordinated actions of the masses can not possibly be tracked because it's not a specific organization but a collection of a lot of people. While it would be possibly to suppress this (see: North Korea); the costs of doing so grow with the amount of suppression and at a certain point it becomes a larger expenditure of resources to deal with it then to simply let it work itself out.

She not only 'spilled' the coffee, she APPLIED the coffee. That act of stupidity made it all her fault. McDonalds never advertised their coffee as tepid, they advertised it as hot. I understand wanting and needing to put the blame on someone, anyone when someone close dies but some times you need to put the the fault on the person who died.... the is very true when the person takes the cowards ways out and kills them selves
