    If the photo was released on the internet with a creative commons license then he can use it freely just like he did.

    If the photo was from a collection of stock images then he may have already had rights to use it.

    The blogger has worked in the internet marketing field for 13 years, so I'm sure he's well aware of copyright laws with respect to the use of online images. I'll gladly bet you 500 euros that there's no infringement going on with that photo.

    You can't. Copying is too easy. But you can still beat the plagiarists: just keep producing top-notch content, and make it clear that it's coming from you. If you're actually saying anything worth listening to, people will come straight to the source - you - and your imitators will be completely ignored.

    By way of example, Wikipedia's content is available under a free license. Anyone can copy it, legally and morally. There are a hundred WP mirrors out there.... but everyone ignores them. They go straight to the source.
