E.g. you chose any address and enter it into the website wanting registration - then just go to mailinator and check the inbox for that address (e.g. myTempAddress@mailinator.com)
- teaBagger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have used http://www.sneakemail.com for many years now...
Fantastic... - TheChance, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1One thing that worries me is that they keep logs of everything and it's not as anonymous as I'd like.
- Jalada, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nothing beats http://www.willhackforfood.biz. Mailinator etc. all have a big security issue, anyone can look at them. So if you register to a forum with one, people can pretend they've "forgotten their password", it'll be emailed to Mailinator and they can pick it up.
Willhackforfood requires a password, and once it has expired it can never be reused. Much better! - deanau, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Domains banned in 5...4...3..
- Hiren, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Dodeit is pretty good although it's always nice to have an alternative.
- brownb2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A much better one (and one I used to sign up to digg with) is http://www.mailinator.com - this one's been around for a fair while longer I believe.
- redwire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I second the mailinator. Best one I have tested.
- Technology, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Just use dodgeit.com? Much easier.
- vherva, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ummh, the posting system ate the link. Here's the URL:
http://neesh.org/2005/07/11/a-guide-to-throwaway-email-addresses/ - wook, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0www.spamgourmet.com works for me
- pede69, on 06/12/2009, -0/+0Here's a link to the service I use. Very cool, 15 minute mail, instant creation, optional forwarding and you can send mail too. What else could you want?
http://goemailgo.com/ - elusive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0there's also http://www.spamgourmet.com
- kris83, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Mailinator work me & thanks for the other links!
- vherva, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0See the neesh.org article for a comparison of disposable email address providers

- emilyscanlan, on 07/24/2008, -0/+0http://www.Soodonims.com
The way to go, takes two minutes to try. Its clearly the best disposable email service out there. - Omar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I use dodgeit.com but you can do it on Yahoo! mail too.
- eyesx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0More popular disposable emails
http://pchere.blogspot.com/2005/04/disposable-email-addresses-protect.html - LeegleechN, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0why not gmail? Just dedicate one or two gmail accounts to spam and you'll be fine.
- laserone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I use spamex.com and like it ALOT.
http://www.spamex.com
It'll generate random ones or you can create any alias you want. You can also host a domain name there so that you can have more addresses to chose from. I've been using it for years and it's fantastic. - aaronlidman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0dodgeit.com
ftw - Warpling, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow, I didn't know there were so many alternatives! Thanks for the post, and the links!
- sajb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Or, as suggested in another article at this site, use the following smart Gmail feature:
Just add "+whatever" to the local part of you gmail address, for example if you address is johndoe@gmail.com, you enter johndoe+signup@gmail.com when you signup for stuff on the web, and then you make a Gmail filter that puts all mail incoming to that address in a special folder. Later on, if you chose to retire the address, you just set the filter to delete incoming mails to the address. Instant disposable addresses! - jcharles, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Jetable has had a lot of down time lately. I found that using http://www.shortmail.net has the same features as jetable and mailinator combined into one service.
- iroute, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0sajb writes ... "Just add "+whatever" to the local part of you gmail address"
it amazes me that people think this is a good idea, i mean really, if I was even a half decent spammer wouldn't i simple parse my list and simply remove anything from the '+' and before the '@'. Whola, gmail addresses without filtering.

And how is this not useful? It's not like it makes you _more_ susceptible to spam, while it does add functionality :) - antoniojvr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0www.dodgeit.com works awesome. Or I have over 300 gmail invitations. How's that for disposable?
No digg for you! - mutant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0sneakemail - best
- Trjn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Hell, I just make a hotmail account *shrugs*
- Kashey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0What scares me is that they keep your forward to e-mail address. Your real working e-mail address!!. What stop them of collecting info and sell it to spamers.
