- igibson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@ pharmd: JHU also employs gives out degrees in various sciences, including computers. They also have the JHU Applied Physics Lab, where my dad (a software engineer) works. So yes, they do work with science and technology, as well as developing numerous government projects.
- CaptSnuffy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yea it's a good read to whet your appetite for more old school style hacking action.
But this is fairly old, it was posted on Make and Hackaday a while ago - lutzlutz2005, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0***** sweet
- dstart, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So last year.
- paleck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0old! i even think they had this on a tech show, From The Shadows if i rememeber correctly.
- brettotte1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is a very old story once again
- dubstar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice. i downloaded the academic paper, looks like a good design.
- headzoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This has to be old, did you see how cheap the gas was in the 3rd video!
- h0jew, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0not impressive but funny, I digg
- lollerskates, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0And just when gas prices are at their highest, awesome.
- fuRy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0old, already posted
- pinc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is old. plus it's a duplicate, it hit the front page a while ago.
- peerk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I heard about this cool new TV show. It is about a brown furry alien who lives with a family on Earth!
The show is called Alf. - rm999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hopkins has a pretty decent engineering school (by far the best biomedical engineering in the country). The computer and electrical part is nothing to write home about, but isn't bad. Hopkins actually has a really good computer security division though, which is what this would fall under I guess.
- ericpp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Kinda scary considering Mastercard is planning on using this technology with their new cards.
- eigh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0old yo, and great, now im going to get arrested for stealing my gas.
- jon_k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've already stolen some gas with a key that I've made that will work on nearly any BP gas pump. They plug in to the key next tot he keypad and you get a diagnostic menu including "TEST PUMP" which basically gets me free gas. Haven't done it more than 4 times though, don't want to get caught. Heh
- duder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i showed this to some people at Gilbarco (major fuel dispenser maker) and they were quite alarmed. but as has been mentioned, this was quite some time ago. from what i've heard though, they still haven't done anything about it.
if you really wanna be cool, get a hold of a gilbarco key that says ch751 on it, open up the upper cabinet, find the keypad and put the dispenser in stand-alone mode (or be a truck driver and pull the pin out of the pulser) - jus1haz2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is pretty damn cool
- binarypower, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hospitals use RFID too!

- (hr15, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Cool story, but the best part for me was reminiscing about gas < $2/gal.
- mousky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Old story.
- pinc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0lol, wrong digg i posted that one to ^^^^^^ sorry...
- pinc, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0your penis would probably fall off if you tried this. title would be how many condoms a fake penis can wear at once....
