- scuzzman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20When w number of people digg a topic in x time, the page rank is increased by y. When y is above threshold z, the page is ranked accordingly on page a. When a is 1, it's on the first page.
The specifics of finding w, x, y, z, and a are a closely guarded secret. - imitrust, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18Yeah, if a headhunters dream is to scour the internet for lame resumes.
File under 'Nightmare' - elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14No, he wasn't saying the plural of thief, he was using a possessive.
He (d17182) was correct, you (fearofcorners) are wrong. - RoboPimp3000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Next front page story:
Free access to +55,000 Nude pics. Pervert's dream. *links to google. - kalleanka, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12How exactly is this a "Headhunter's dream"???
This is just 55000 resumes on people all around the world with completely different skill sets. More than half of them probably already have a job by now anyway. So why would a head hunter ever look for such random resumes?
And how this got 300+ diggs is beyond my understanding. It's just a god damn Google search and not useful to anyone. - chimpadink, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13burried for being a waste of my time. If I needed lessons on how to google search I certainly wouldnt be on digg looking for it.
- mikesherov, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8No, you did. "Headhunter's" is singular possessive. Therefore, "identity thief's" is the correct singular possessive replacement.
- dscx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6add filetype:pdf or filetype:doc to the end to narrow the results down further
- kalleanka, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4*****, that is scary that so many idiots post their full name/birthdate/SSN on internet.
Here is one example:
http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache:1wSmGIleTZQJ:www.psyc.bbk.ac.uk/iscfsi/pdf/website_vita.pdf+%22phone+***%22+%22+address+*%22+%22e-mail%22+intitle:%22curriculum+vitae%22+ssn&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=7
Anyone in need of a new credit card?
Most of the CVs however just wrote "SSN: call me" orsomething like that, but some actually posted it online. - Logan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Add SSN to the end of it for some real fun!
- neutrascrub, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4i lawled at this one http://www.angelfire.com/ms/abualrub/page2.html
- afeitarse, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5"(GPA:EXCELLENT): University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC),USA,1992.
(GPA:EXCELLENT): University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC),USA,1989.
(GPA:VERY GOOD): Yarmouk University, JORDAN,1987."
No, sir, I'm sorry...we only allow people with excellent GPAs throughout their education at our company. - strictnein, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7or farther
- solfood, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Identity thief's dream too.
- tikistyle, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4And spend $5k for the year.
- fiv3isaliv3, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4I logged in just to mark this as lame.
- bigwyrm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This sort of idea will be handy when I get around to writing up my own CV.
- IanRReardon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2So did I
- sepllcehck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Headhunters/Executive recruiters use passive recruiting. Most of the time - the use sources (people that work at specific target companies) to find suitable candidates. They don't advertise and don't take blind resumes. They also do not limit the scope of candidate searching to people actively seeking employment.
This is completely lame. Submitter obviously isn't a recruiter and knows little to nothing about how recruiters actually work. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1shouldn't you the individual be looking for the headhunter and the other way around?
even if they do hunt, it wouldn't be this casual. there's context to these resumes. I'd rather goto the guys portfolio, have a browse then consult the resume if i were a head hunter.
good search though - DeusMachinae, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Too bad Google limits searches to 1,000 results.
- Trandera, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Its amazing that a google search could get 700+ diggs.
- BrainCoder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's a bit scary, I admit. Think of all the people who posted their address and other infos on the web. And think that with this digg you gave to spammers a lot of addresses, phone numbers, emails and other to rock on :|
- TheJas, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Only douche bags put "CURRICULUM VITAE" on a resume anyway
- hbpencil, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Most of these CVs are really dull in terms of layout and design
- bogolo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Lame, off-topic, but still got its 595+ diggs
- elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2I'm ashamed that I share the name 'Gabe' with you.
Notice that d17 has an apostrophe. That's a clue for you on why fearofcorners is stupid. - secretivecoward, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Spammer's dream...ok this is LAME.
- mgainor, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4So now any random google search is interesting? Okay.
- xxrazor, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2or, just go to monster.com
- d17182, on 10/12/2007, -10/+6"Headhunter's dream"
You misspelled "identity thief's". - fearofcorners, on 10/12/2007, -20/+12So did you.
"identity thieves" - gabeN, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1sorry fearofcorners, I accidentally dugg you down, I meant to give a thumbs-up
- mustseeblog, on 10/12/2007, -19/+6google is evil
- pplante, on 10/12/2007, -20/+3What the *****? 41 digs and 3 comments?
