- ebyryan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0While I haven't used hidemyass this does appear to be similar. I used it to go to google and it tried to open 3 pop-ups. Firefox blocked two but the third tried to open "installer.exe". I can only presume this is spyware as I didn't install it. Either way this site isn't worth digging due to the many pop-ups and potential spyware install. Luckily I use linux so had no worries.

- gordo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Just use torpark. Its portable TOR. Look there is even a story about it on digg. Works great for proxy avoidance at school, work, cafe, etc. Completely removes itself from host computer so you were never there.

What is PHProxy?
PHProxy is a web HTTP (for now; FTP is not supprted yet) proxy programmed in PHP designed to bypass firewalls and other proxy restrictions through a web interface very similar to the popular CGIProxy. School/country/company blocked your favorite website? Look no further!
The server that this script runs on simply acts as a medium that retrives resources for you. The only IP address shown will be the server's IP address. So basically, it is indirect browsing.
