DOJ Submits ID Theft Bill To Congress
internetnews.com — Proposed ID theft laws would raise punishment as well as expand to cover businesses for ID theft crimes. Currently, ID theft victims can only be awarded their financial losses in court. Now they would also be able to re-coop their cost to repair damage. Also, ID theft against a business will be considered a crime, not just individual ID theft.
