- faithlessphil, on 10/12/2007, -4/+42Criminals can't hide from the Sword of Omens! It gives them sight beyond sight!
- Osjpr, on 10/12/2007, -3/+38That is the sexiest logo ever. makes the fbi logo look like a preschool collage
- Odweaver, on 10/12/2007, -1/+31The decepticon logo for the CIA would be cooler.
- Nodren, on 10/12/2007, -4/+32for anyone thinking about clicking on the link in the dugg down comment above me, dont try it... its not appropriate for a work environment
- hectorhector, on 10/12/2007, -7/+32am i the only one that thinks it looks nothing like the thundercats logo?
- obiwankenobi, on 10/12/2007, -4/+21Man really never liked the show but I am glad to see that Great Britain loves 80s kid cartoons as much as i do.
Maybe the CIA will change their logo to look like an auto bot. - SonicAD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Optimus Prime already is fighting in the "War on Terror":

I think the Brits have something here: don't take yourself too seriously, but do a kick-ass job in the meantime.
I'd love to see a parody of this new division against Thundercats - just for chuckles. Possible plot lines below: http://www.x-entertainment.com/messages/505.html - billydisaster, on 10/12/2007, -5/+20Unfortunately our cops and politicians think you're great. I'm just surprised they didnt manage to put some half-naked burly man flexing his pecs somewhere in the logo too.
- szelij, on 10/12/2007, -5/+18What frooty said, as long as they get the job done, even if its flying pigs, it's cool.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Looks like some kind of transworld logo for some african safari hunting group/airline.
/or the SUPER ADVENTURE CLUB. - DannySpace, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13SWORD OF OMENS...GIVE ME SIGHT BEYOND SIGHT!
THUNDER, THUNDER, THUNDER, THUNDERCATS HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I once had a dream that I was having sex with cheetara. Is that wrong? - Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13It's a lot better than endless variations of eagles and stars and stripes, such as all of the US's departments.
Yeah, it looks like the Thundercats logo, but it's also a really cool logo - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10its called English
- ultimathule, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8First of all, when you've assumed a person's spelling inaccuracy, you're supposed to quote the actual misspelling. Secondly, the people across the pond sometimes spell words differently; it's called a variant.
- sneed, on 10/12/2007, -7/+14I was just thinking the exact same thing. The cat part looks vaguely similar, but other than that...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Maybe we can get Optimus Prime to fight the "War on terror".
- fluxion, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9whoever provided that image did an excellent job of labeling the various parts for us. "globe lines", "big cat", "crown". well done, i say. well done.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Why because it's got a cat in the logo?? Not even close to similar.
- spectre_25gt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Well, similar or not, its a decent looking logo. It's about time the designers for this stuff decided to go a little bit modern.
- Artifez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Looks like a jaguar holding a shopping basket. RAWR ME NEED TOOTHPASTE
- arnchalooo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Yeah we need Optimus Prime cause we have a Starscream doing that job right now. ah ah ah.
- PayneX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Well, the organisation is called Soca, so perhaps they should adorb all their agents with a large "S" encapsulated in a triangle?
- cBennett, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6This logo is not going to age well..................
- supercleanery, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5That's not as cool as the Russian FBI's Batman logo:
http://www.ridingsun.com/posts/1136444340.shtml - Skywise, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10Well if you're "borrowing" logos from TV shows, how about a knife through the Earth?
- JamesGlover, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8I can't help thinking that the green colour makes them look evil. (Undertones of the mysterons?)
- tombomb, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Hmm.... Maybethe UK can get Voltron to hunt down the baddies...
EDIT: Whoops did not mean to reply to mathewlu's comment, my bad. - jayarbee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4To me, it's a lot more reminiscent of the leaping cat hood ornament on my Jaguar. Since it's a British car, seems the article's author would have thought of that too -- although, I understand they were banned there years ago for safety reasons.
- arnchalooo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Can you imagine telling your kids friends' to call you Optimus Prime, or Mr. Prime. Giggle.
- CupofDice, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Here are the designs for their new outfits.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Greentommy7.JPG - phenopticon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5The Decepticon logo is already being used by the US Air Force http://www.airforce.com/
- QTRaven, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3well it dose show some resemblance to the thunder cats logo with the stream line look of the head, but i would have to agree with jayarbee that it looks more like the jaguar hood ornament, almost too much.
see for yourself
http://www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com/photo/build_photo_ims.php?photo_id=19189&size=med - afrazkhan, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6"... which featured humanoid cats battling evil mutants in the Earth's distant future ..."
No it didn't! The show had nothing to do with Earth, Thundara was a completely different planet, and the place they landed on was a random planet ... wasn't it? That's how I remember it anyway. Am I wrong?
Oh my goodness. I haven't felt this much like a geek since I had to explain to my friend why I was laughing at a license plate that started with "DRM ...".
Also, the cat looks a little camp. Look at it's limp right paw; "I kill you! ... aww but you're soo cute!". - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3i find it amusing, but also take a look at the logo. why would a national agency include a logo of the world in it's logo. it suggests hidden motives of world domination.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Have a look at the thundercats logo and tell me if you still think the two logos look alike. If you still think they do, then you're blind.
http://www.choiceshirts.com/item/k/pl-00215a/ - kdehead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3i think its a pretty cool logo.
however, its yet another sign of the presidential style of government of Tony Blair - the Home Secretary appoints the head of SOCA, rather than a police authority. - domokunt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4http://www.hawaii.edu/cmb/news/newsimages/fbi_logo.gif
- saroth, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8It's called British English.
- AuAndCs, on 10/12/2007, -6/+8Or predacons, yesssss...
- Prolix, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Organized criminals setting up agencies to hunt down independent organized criminals. It's laughable.
- HanSolo69, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Yea..there's nothing similar about those two logos except that the Soca one happens to have a cat...
type 'cat logo' into GIS and see what comes up. - Snakedal337, on 10/12/2007, -7/+9I agree too, the only thing simaler about it is a cat.... so what?
- frolich, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This article reads more like and article from the Onion than an article by the BBC. I had to look twice that this was not written as a left over April fools joke. Come on "Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA)", really?
My favorite part is where they talk about how the crown part of the logo can be ripped off and used as a throwing star! - jrsims, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3The crown on top of the logo is a little awkward.
- PaGaNism, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Probably a slow news day for the BBC.. Clutching at straws linking Thundercats logo and Soca's to be honest. Anyway I love the comment on the BBC news page "Kitten playing with a ball of wool anyone?" from John, London.. Made me giggle.
- B0jangles, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4He spelt it correctly, unlike you who got the grammar wrong.
